Captaincy Analysis – FPL Gameweek 13 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The dreaded international break is over and Premier League football returns this weekend! With that returns Fantasy Football, but who should you give the captain’s armband to? Well, before we look at this week’s picks, here’s how last week’s Captaincy Analysis did:

1. Sergio Aguero – 7 points
2. Callum Wilson – 2 points
3. Mohamed Salah – 8 points
Differential – Felipe Anderson – 9 points
Gamble – Richarlison – 3 points

Now onto this week’s picks…

1. Mohamed Salah (WAT)

With 3 goals and one assist in his last 4 games, and with a goal in the international break for Egypt, he’s arguably back to his form that we got so used to last season. Liverpool take on Watford this week too, a game that usually sees plenty of goals, and with Gracia’s men struggling this season at the back (two clean sheets since GW2), it’s likely that Salah will be able to get onto the scoresheet.

2. Sergio Aguero (WHU)

Another player in really good form recently is Sergio Aguero, scoring the same as Salah but assisting one more than the ‘Egyptian King’. He’s had a much needed rest as well, looking somewhat fatigued in his last few matches, so a rest is perfect for him especially with the festive period coming up! Man City take on a side with an even poorer defensive record than Watford, keeping only one clean sheet this season, strangely, to Chelsea! With this in mind, I’d definitely say that Aguero, now owned by over 50% of FPL managers, has to be one to consider!

3. Richarlison (CAR)

Hard to believe that he’s only 21! Plays with so much confidence and seems to give his all in every single game. He’s been playing up-front for Everton recently and he scored again for Brazil during the break, taking his tally to 9 goals this season, despite a red card! He’s definitely one to keep an eye on, and an additional small bonus is the fact that he’s playing out of position. Listed as a midfielder means he gets more points for every goal/assist. Those points are crucial to your ranking!

Differential – Anthony Martial (CRY)

Admittedly, I thought that this would be Martial’s annual ‘patch’, where he comes good for a few games and then disappears. However, he has impressed me with how well he’s been playing. He’s only owned by 11% and hasn’t blanked in the last 5 gameweeks, scoring in every game, and currently averaging more than 10 points (last 5 games), which is a terrific record, and one that has seemingly gone under the radar! They take on Crystal Palace this weekend who have struggled these past few weeks, only picking up 2 points since gameweek 6.

Gamble – Harry Kane (CHE)

I said this on Twitter, but ever since the World Cup, I don’t think Kane has been performing at 100%, despite the goals that he’s scored. He’s only got one goal and one assist since gameweek 7, a worrying stat for someone who is priced so highly. He scored again for England last week, playing the full 90 minutes again. He’s played all game, every game for the past 8 months now, which possibly could be why he’s struggling to impress this season. Despite all that, he’s still scoring, so what do I know!? They take on an unbeaten Chelsea team at “home” this week, maybe they could be the team to end their flawless start?
