Captaincy Analysis – FPL Gameweek 30 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

We may have enjoyed the European football during the week, but now we have gameweek 30 to look forward to. Before we look at this week’s captaincy analysis, here’s how last week’s picks did:

1. Sergio Aguero – 2 points
2.  Paul Pogba – 1 point
3. Raul Jimenez – 12 points
Differential –  Gerard Deulofeu – 6 points
Gamble – Mohamed Salah – 3 points

Now onto this week’s selections:

1. Mohamed Salah (BUR)

Salah’s scored 10 goals this season at Anfield, and is one of the top scorers in the league with 17 altogether, but you genuinely wouldn’t believe it judging by Twitter’s reaction to his recent form! I’ll admit that he’s been playing poorly, scoring only once in 6 games, but he’s certainly due an explosive game, and I think it’ll be against Burnley at home. Liverpool are now behind Man City and need to win every game, so they’ll need their main man performing well, and these are the games that they need to win comfortably otherwise they’ve lost the league!

2. Sergio Aguero (WAT)

Watford are one of ‘those’ teams that City will love to play against. They won’t park the bus, meaning that there will be more goals, like what we saw against Liverpool when Watford conceded 5 and defended horrifically. Unlike Salah, Aguero has been playing very well recently, scoring 8 goals in 5 games, and with Jesus still out injured, Aguero has to be considered for captaincy.

3. Wilfried Zaha (BHA)

Sort of a differential too, as the vast majority of his owners are considered ghostships now. However, in the last 8 gameweeks, Zaha has scored 5 goals and assisted twice, and has seemingly gone under the radar as very few managers have taken a punt on him. This week, Palace take on Brighton, and with Brighton in horrendous form as of late, I’d say Zaha could be a viable option for captaincy!

Differential – Romelu Lukaku (ARS)

Lukaku has been in really good form in the last few games, scoring a brace in three consecutive games, including a brace against PSG which kept them in the Champions League! He’s only owned by 4% and despite not scoring for over 12 weeks, has surprisingly still scored 12 goals all season, which isn’t too bad for someone who has been criticised so heavily this season. I think he’s lost weight over the last month or so, which was really needed as he looked more like a body builder than a footballer during Mourinho’s time as Man United manager!

Gamble – Harry Kane (SOU)

Got really lucky last week against Arsenal to score the penalty, as he was initially offside and probably should have been spotted by the linesman. However, he wasn’t, and Kane buried the penalty to make it 3 goals in 4 games since his return from injury. However, considering he had ankle ligament damage and has played 90 minutes twice this week due to the Champions League and the Premier League, surely he has to be fatigued?
