Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 11 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

In last week’s FPL Captaincy Analysis we eluded to the inconsistency of the big hitters, but we were never in doubt that they would return to form… and return to form they did! An average of 10.2 points from picks last week, hopefully this is the return to form our captaincy analysis needed too!

Before we look at this week’s captaincy analysis, here’s how last week’s picks did:

1. Alexis Sanchez – 13 points
2. Phillipe Coutinho – 8 points
3. Romelu Lukaku – 12 points
Differential – Troy Deeney – 2 points
Gamble – Sergio Aguero – 16 points

Now onto this week’s selections:

1. Sergio Aguero (MID)

After a string of poor performances, Aguero fired back and proved his critics wrong with a brace and an assist against West Brom, plus an assist in his UCL game against Barcelona. He looked lively in both games, and I think he can take this form into next week’s game against Middlesbrough at the Etihad. If any player in the league is fixture proof, and able to score against anyone, it’s this man. He is second top scorer in the league with 7, despite being poor in three quarters of the games this season! When he scores one, he can’t help but score more!

2. Phillipe Coutinho (WAT)

Every week, we’re left with a guessing game; Which Liverpool player does the best? Coutinho recently is the man who is coming out on top, as he is on corner duty which gives him an advantage in getting more points. Two assists last week, a goal and an assist the week before, he’s turning into a “must – have” in my opinion, and I think he can take this fine form into the game against Watford.

3. Romelu Lukaku (CHE)

I couldn’t not include the Belgian. He’s been in fantastic form recently, scoring 7 goals in 8 games this season, forming a deadly (in fact, the deadliest in the league) partnership with Yannick Bolasie who has helped him score more goals and gain more FPL points this year. With a difficult game against Chelsea, can he find a way to penetrate through Antonio Conte’s men? Last time they played, Lukaku scored a brace; can he replicate that?

Differential – Olivier Giroud (TOT)

After a lengthy injury which kept him out for the first 9 weeks of the season, Giroud marked his return with a brace against Sunderland, and he came off the bench to do it! I’m not sure whether he’ll start this week but if he does, he could prove to be a fantastic differential if he does a repeat of last week. Owned by 1.1% of FPL managers (although 95% of them will be ghost ships), he can certainly take your FPL team high if he does well!

Gamble – Callum Wilson (SUN)

Since Junior Stanislas became injured, Bournemouth have failed to score in their Premier League games, a stat they will want to crush when they play Sunderland this weekend. No one is sure if Stanislas is fit to start this weekend, but regardless of whether he plays or not, they take on Sunderland who’s defence is absolutely woeful, and surely they can capitalise on a Sunderland team that have failed to win all season. It’s certainly a gamble, but as they say, he who dares, wins!
