Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 15 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

A mixed captaincy analysis last week saw our number one pick score a huge 23 points, the highest weekly tally yet, whilst Aguero foolishly decided to get sent off for a ridiculous challenge on David Luiz! Hopefully this week’s FPL selections can be a little more consistent!

Here’s how last week’s captaincy analysis did:

1. Alexis Sanchez – 23 points
2. Charlie Austin – 1 point
3. Sadio Mane – 11 points
Differential – Robert Snodgrass – 2 points
Gamble – Sergio Aguero – -1 point

Now onto this week’s picks:

1. Diego Costa (WBA)

Just edged the number one spot for this week as he had a well deserved rest midweek, compared to Sanchez, who played a UCL match on Tuesday. Costa, at the minute, is in my opinion the best striker in the league by a country mile. His hold up play, finishing and strength is fantastic, which is why he’s top scorer of the League, and hasn’t blanked in over 5 weeks. He’ll be a popular captaincy choice, but he’s worth it as you know he can deliver the goods! Chelsea play a West Brom team doing very well in the past few weeks, but can Costa take them down a notch?

2. Alexis Sanchez (STK)

3 goals, 1 assist, and 46 points if you captained him, Alexis is in fantastic form with 5 goals in two games, one being a delightful fake and chip over the helpless Randolph. He’s been oozing class for the last few games, and it doesn’t look like stopping with a home game against Stoke this weekend. I predict he’ll get on the scoresheet more than once this week, so it’s definitely a player I’d keep an eye on for captaincy.

3. Harry Kane (MUN)

Kane also could have been put in the number one spot, however Spurs take on Man United this week, a difficult fixture for any player regardless of the form they are in. Kane’s scored 5 goals in 4 games, and will look to add to that tally against a defensively poor Man United team, failing to keep a clean sheet for 5 weeks. It’s a risky one, but if you feel it, then I’d definitely recommend it!

Differential – Kelechi Iheanacho (LEI)

As Aguero has a 4 game ban, only one man will replace the Argentinian; step up Iheanacho. Keep this one quiet, but when Aguero has been banned, or injured, or suspended, Iheanacho has a fantastic record of stepping up to the plate. Statistically last year, Iheanacho returned points every 76 minutes, and already has 3 goals, and 3 assists, in just 195 minutes this season. The game Aguero missed, he scored and assisted in the match. He’s a decent striker, and when he gets the minutes, he can certainly get the goals, like we saw this week when he scored against Celtic. Massive differential, but definitely worth it. Don’t tell anyone though, keep it to yourself.

Gamble – Gylfi Sigurdsson (SUN)

After a horrific performance from Swansea last week, they’ll look to make up for it by winning against the team just in front of them, Sunderland. They haven’t kept many clean sheets this season, so scoring might not be a problem. With Sigurdsson in hot form, and the only man looking to attack in the Swansea team, any goal for Swansea will involve Siggy, it’s just a matter of how many he’ll score/assist. It’s a big gamble, especially seeing as he was invisible against Spurs, but considering how poor Sunderland’s defence is bar Pickford, surely Siggy will have to bury one goal, right?
