Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 6 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Welcome to another Captaincy Analysis for the upcoming gameweek 6. The fixtures suggest it could be a high scoring week, so getting your captaincy pick right is crucial. Hopefully this FPL Captaincy Analysis  article can help you make the right choice!

Before we look at this weeks picks, here is how last weeks Captaincy Analysis did:

1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – 5 points
2. Alexis Sanchez – 10 points
3. Kevin De Bruyne – 14 points
Differential – Michail Antonio – 7 points
Gamble – Heung Min-Son – 3 points
Bonus Pick – Romelu Lukaku – 12 points

It was a brilliant week for the captaincy picks, hopefully more of the same this week!

1. Sergio Aguero (SWA)

The City forward began the season on top form and his retrospective ban for swinging at Winston Reid put a spanner in the works of many managers who had built they’re teams around the Argentine. 3 games later and with the suspension served, Aguero will come straight back into Guardiola’s XI for the trip to Swansea and after a Champions League hat-trick, Aguero shouldn’t be rusty! Understandably he is going to be a popular pick, but with City’s current form, Aguero is your safest bet for the armband.

2. Philippe Coutinho (HUL)

The Liverpool and Brazilian playmaker has been in decent form of late which has caught the eye of many fantasy football managers. At 8.1m the Brazilian is the best in his price range. If you’re looking for a captain without massive ownership them Coutinho could just be your man. A home game against Hull who shipped 4 goals last week may have stopped some of the early momentum in its tracks. With Liverpool coming off the back of a great win at Chelsea and progression in the EFL Cup, Klopp’s men could roll over the Tigers on Saturday.

3. Romelu Lukaku (BOU)

Lukaku is in great form on the back of a long goal drought, with a hat-trick in gameweek 4 and a 12 point haul in gameweek 5. The Belgian is on the top of his game right now and in the league at least, Everton are flying. Bournemouth lost heavily in gameweek 5 and crashed out of the EFL Cup midweek, so the Cherries aren’t at the top of their game, meaning Everton are likely to be favourites in this fixture. It should be noted however that Lukaku did limp off on Saturday and missed the EFL Cup defeat on Tuesday evening, but all indications suggest the Belgian will return to the side at Dean a Court.

Gamble – Nacer Chadli (STK)

Another Belgian, and this one had the perfect introduction to the Baggies with a brace in gameweek 5 and looks to have been given a free roll in the West Brom attack. Pulis takes his side up the M6 to Stoke this week and you probably couldn’t pick a better time to play Mark Hughes’ outfit. Stoke are without a win this season and were on the receiving end of a 4-1 hammering at Crystal Palace last weekend. Chadli looks like an exciting Fantasy Premier League prospect and although there is risk around his consistency, there is a reward is certainly on offer if he turns up!

Differential – Christian Benteke (SUN)

The new arrival scored on his debut and was lively in the convincing victory over Stoke in gameweek 5. The victory over Stoke will give Crystal Palace a boost going into the game against Sunderland, who are without a win under David Moyes. The Palace wingers will look to feed Benteke and if they do so, he’ll likely find the back of the net. With just 6% ownership, he could prove a great differential skipper.
