FPL Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 12 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

With the international break almost over, Fantasy Premier League is nearly back! That said, who should you consider for captaincy? Before we look at this week’s captaincy selections, here’s how last week’s FPL Captaincy Analysis did:

1. Gabriel Jesus – 5 points
2. Mohamed Salah – 15 points
3. Jamie Vardy – 2 points
Differential – Eden Hazard – 3 points
Gamble – Harry Kane – 2 points

Now onto this week’s picks…

1. Mohamed Salah (SOU)

With 7 goals and 3 assists for Liverpool this season, Salah has to be considered for captaincy this week. After a week off, Liverpool face Southampton at home, a team who have only kept 1 clean sheet in their last 6 GW’s, and considering how good Liverpool have been in front of goal, Salah is definitely one to consider! He’s now owned by a whopping 40% of FPL managers, so he’s likely to be one of the most popular captaincy choices for this week!

2. Romelu Lukaku (NEW)

Over 500,000 FPL managers decided they had had enough of Lukaku, and got rid of the Belgian who hasn’t scored in his last 4 GW’s. However, they’ll all regret their decision when Lukaku gets on the scoresheet this week against Newcastle, a team who have surprisingly only kept 3 clean sheets all season. Lukaku scored 3 goals in the international break and will definitely want to end that drought in the league! With so many active managers getting rid of him, he could prove to be a great choice for captaincy!

3. Sergio Aguero (LEI)

Man City attackers are fantastic, but Pep rotating them all makes it extremely difficult! Aguero only played 45 minutes in the international break. Jesus played a lot more, so Aguero could be chosen ahead of Jesus. Aguero is one of the top scorers with 8 goals so if he does start, he is likely to get on the scoresheet! He’s still only owned by 23% too, which compared to other strikers, is relatively low.

Differential – Eden Hazard (WBA)

Hazard is also starting to get back into the groove after his injury at the start of the season. He was the bright spark in their last three games and even scored for Belgium in their first match, missing the second one to regain his match fitness. That means that he’s likely to start in their next match against West Brom, who have been leaking goals in their last few matches, keeping only one clean sheet since GW4! Hazard is only owned by 5% too; a massive differential!

Gamble – Harry Kane (ARS)

I’ll be honest, Kane couldn’t not be selected for this week, it’s an away game for him! An away game for Kane means one thing; goals. And lots of them. He’s yet to score 1 goal in a game, getting either 0 or 2, so if he does score against Arsenal, then we all know he’s going to explode and score a few more! However, Spurs seem to have suffered a hefty amount of injuries ahead of this weekend, with rumours of 6 starting XI injured, and these injuries could mean that Kane might not play to his best.
