FPL Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 25 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Lats week’s FPL Captaincy Analysis resulted in some impressive scores, with 2 scoring double digits! Before we look onto gameweek 25, here’s a full break down of last week’s picks:

1. Mohamed Salah – 2 points
2. Sergio Aguero – 17 points
3. Harry Kane – 8 points
Differential – Marko Arnautovic – 5 points
Gamble – Eden Hazard – 16 points

Now onto this week’s picks:

1. Sergio Aguero (WBA)

Since Jesus’ injury, Aguero has been a consistent starter for Man City, which has certainly improved his confidence in front of goal, because he’s scored 7 since solidifying his position as striker in the team, including a hat-trick last week against Newcastle. This week, Man City take on West Brom, who have certainly improved under Pardew, however their defence still seems leaky and they’ve been plagued with injuries in their defence recently! If City can expose their defence, then it could be an easy one for City and could lead to Aguero bagging a few this week.

2. Mohamed Salah (HUD)

Should be no surprise that Salah is featuring in the captaincy article! In the FA Cup game, Salah scored and assisted one for Liverpool, despite being relatively quiet throughout the game. He’s one of the highest scorers in the league this season, and they take on a Huddersfield team who’ve conceded 41 goals, which is one of the highest in the league. Considering Liverpool will be desperate to make up for their loss to West Brom, Salah could end up on the scoresheet!

3. Eden Hazard (BOU)

Every single week, Hazard makes an appearance in the captaincy choices and every time, he throws a blank right back at me. He was absolutely magnificent last week though against Brighton, scoring 2 goals and completely ran the show, and that’s the Hazard we’re all used to seeing. He needs to be replicating those performances on a weekly basis and this week, Chelsea play Bournemouth at home. It’s a perfect chance for Hazard to prove to his owners that he is a must-own player! He’s only owned by 7% too, so could be considered a differential for this week!

Differential – Henrikh Mkhitaryan (SWA)

I was torn between Henrikh and Leicester newbie Fousseni Diabate, however on the basis that Leicester will start Mahrez/Vardy when they return, I’ve gone with Mkhi, who is owned by 6% which I guarantee are mostly ghostships because of his performances at the start of the season. He assisted 5 times in those first 5 matches, which proves that he is a decent player, and if he gets game time at Arsenal, he could prove to be a valuable player for many FPL teams.

Gamble – Anthony Martial (TOT)

If Mourinho was consistent in choosing Martial, he’d be a fantastic player for FPL. As he’s not, it’s always risky choosing Martial because Mourinho is reluctant to start him, or give him the full 90 minutes. In the last 3 games, Martial has proven to Mourinho that he is a good player, scoring 3 goals and assisting once, and could be a good captaincy choice if United didn’t take on Spurs this week. Spurs did concede to Newport in the FA Cup, but they rested plenty of players and I’d say it would be a huge gamble to captain Martial, especially considering he’s only played the full 90 twice this season.
