FPL Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 32 Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Welcome to our FPL Captaincy Analysis for the upcoming gameweek 32.

Let’s begin by looking at how last week’s FPL Captaincy Analysis picks got on. It was a mixed bag with two of our picks bringing returns but we know you all captained Salah anyway so his 48 points helped most of you!

1. Mohamed Salah – 24 points
2. Callum Wilson – 2 points
3. Xherdan Shaqiri – 2 points
Differential – Wilfried Zaha – 3 points
Gamble – Cenk Tosun – 13 points

Now let’s examine this week’s picks for your armband.

1. Mohamed Salah (CRY)

No surprises with our first pick this week. The Egyptian goes from strength to strength in this Liverpool side and his four-goal haul last time out against Watford took his total to 28 in the league which is some return for a winger! Liverpool travel south to face Crystal Palace who are fighting for their lives at the wrong end of the table but will be boosted from a decent win on their travels at fellow strugglers Huddersfield in gameweek 31. Regardless of the opposition though, Salah can be expected to collect a decent return so is a safe option for your armband. Of course, if you are looking for a differential captain then the Egyptian certainly isn’t your man with almost 63% of players having the Liverpool man in their squads.

2. Romelu Lukaku (SWA)

Most would say that the Belgian has failed to set the world alight at Old Trafford but he has still got himself a respectable enough 14 league goals and will be keen to add to that when Swansea visit Old Trafford on Saturday. Swansea have been a good side under new manager Carlos Carvalhal but remain nine points short of the magic 40-point barrier so will be keen to make it two wins at Old Trafford in two seasons. However, with home advantage, United should come out on top and with Lukaku leading the line, many managers will be banking on Lukaku providing the goods.

3. Kevin De Bruyne (EVE)

Manchester City continue their seemingly unstoppable march to the league title at Everton on Saturday and despite back to back wins for the Toffees, there is only one result on the cards. De Bruyne has been at the heart of this City side which has been reflected with his 7 goals and 14 assists in the Premier League so far this season. Given around a quarter of players own the Belgian, he could be a popular pick this week and should definitely be considered for your captaincy.

Differential – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (STK)

The Arsenal striker has failed to show the form which made him a star in the Bundesliga but will be looking to show some of that quality when struggling Stoke visit the Emirates on Sunday. Perhaps you’re locked in a close mini league battle and want to get ahead so are avoiding the obvious picks. If so, then the Arsenal man could be the perfect option, owned by only 8.5% of teams if he manages to get a few goals and that could mean huge rewards if you’re brave enough to captain the Gunners striker.

Gamble – Heung-Min Son (CHE)

Spurs continue to play well even without star man Harry Kane and this has been in no small part down to the contribution of Son who has managed 4 goals in his last 2 games. With that sort of form the South Korean would usually be considered a safe pick but with a difficult trip to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, there is always going to be an element of risk around the Spurs playmaker. However, his form and increased responsibility in the side means Son is still an attractive option for your captaincy.

That rounds things up for our captaincy analysis this week, with five good options for possible captains. We hope you are closer to deciding who to give your armband to this weekend.

Thanks for reading and good luck!
