Gameweek 7 Captaincy Analysis – Fantasy Football Tips

Another gameweek has passed and we are now looking towards gameweek 7 and specifically who to captain… But before we look at this weeks picks, here’s how last weeks picks did:

1. Sergio Aguero – 9 points
2. Teemu Pukki – 2 points
3. Richarlison – 2 points
Differential – Heung-Min Son – 5 points
Gamble – Mohamed Salah – 5 points

Fingers crossed for better returns this week, here’s our top picks for gameweek 6:

1.  Mohamed Salah (SHU)

It’s really difficult to choose a Liverpool attacker to captain, because it’s really hard to predict which one will get tho goals/assists! I’ve gone for Salah this week because I think he’s well overdue a week where he gets a huge points haul. He assisted last week against Chelsea, meaning that he has still only blanked once so far this season, scoring 50 points in only 6 games. Liverpool never go a game where they don’t score at least one, but let’s hope Salah gets a few more!

2. Kevin De Bruyne (EVE)

I hate advising a player to captain when they take on my side (Everton), but I have to put my team to one side an admire this man. He’s a genius, and I’ve said for a while that if he stays fully fit, he’ll smash the assists record set by Henry (20). He’s been absolutely magnificent all season, averaging a double-digit haul every 2 games. He’s already assisted seven times this season, and may exploit an Everton defence that has been leaking goals left right and centre recently. He was rested midweek against Preston, so it’s highly likely he’ll start too!

3. Tammy Abraham (BHA)

Not entirely sure how he didn’t score against Liverpool, to be honest! He had two huge chances but was denied by Adrian, but there’s no doubting the fact that he’ll get goals this season. He’s already proven that he’s clinical, and although he blanked against Liverpool, I was quite happy with his performance. They take on Brighton this week, and don’t forget, Abraham has scored 7 times in the last 4 games, he is still someone you should consider for captaincy!

Differential – James Maddison (NEW)

Love watching Maddison play because I think he has bags of potential, but he’s so infuriating to watch when you own him, because he always looks like he could score/assist 6 a game, but never seems to deliver consistently. Last week he scored 11 points, and was by far the standout player, but being honest, he’s always the standout player for Leicester, but it’s his consistency that worries me! Only 10% own him, and they take on Newcastle at home, and if they play like they did against Brighton last week, I can see Leicester getting a few goals, and hopefully Maddison is involved!

Gamble – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (MUN)

You may be wondering why the Golden Boot winner is my gamble option for this week, however I think they’ll struggle against Man United. Personally I thought they looked tired against West Ham due to their Europa League game only 3 days before, and defensively, they aren’t too bad. They have an extended break due to their game being on Monday night, and I have a feeling that Aubameyang may blank with Lacazette out of the game. It is a gamble and that’s just my opinion, but be warned I do think United will be a lot stronger this week!

That was our analysis of some of the key captaincy options, I hope you enjoyed it. Best of luck this week folks!
