Crystal Palace vs Southampton Premier Punt Line-up

A difficult one this with only 3 goals between the 2 teams from 4 games each! Southampton aren’t looking like they’re clicking and Palace’s manager turnaround of De Boer out the door and Hodgson in the door makes for an unpredictable Saturday lunch time kick-off. However, Palace will have the new manager boost, the home support and a thirst for goals to kick off their campaign. Therefore, we have gone for mainly Palace coverage, with a couple of Southampton representatives who could play a part should Southampton make the most of Palace’s focus on all out attack. Our star man pick is Christian Benteke. The other star man options this week are Andros Townsend, Dusan Tadic and Manolo Gabbiadini. Benteke is surely the most likely point-scorer out of the bunch so he gets our pick. To support the Belgian font man, we have also gone for his midfield teammates, Yohan Cabaye and Jason Puncheon. Jason has the most league minutes from the Palace midfield this season and we reckon “Woy” could fancy the Frenchman in the starting line-up this Saturday. Our final Palace coverage comes in the shape of Scott Dann, who was so unfortunate not to net last week after 2 of his efforts were cleared off the line and he somehow didn’t score a header right at the death. For Southampton, as Gabbiadini is somehow getting all of the minutes up top and we expect Palace to end their goal drought, we have opted for non-star men picks from the Saints midfield. Therefore, in come Nathan Redmond and Steven Davis. Out of the 3 goals Southampton have scored this season, each of these guys have an assist to their name so hopefully they can pick up some points here.

6 A-Side – Liverpool vs Burnley – £2 ENTRY

Liverpool vs Burnley Premier Punt Line-up

Our paid league entry this week is Saturday’s 3pm match up between Liverpool and Burnley at Anfield. Despite the suspension of Mane and Burnley’s sporadic ability to grind out big results, we feel Liverpool are the team likely to walk away with the win and therefore we’ve gone for mostly Liverpool players. Our star man pick this week is Roberto Firmino. Without Mane, he’ll need to deliver and hopefully his midweek Champions League penalty miss doesn’t mean Klopp takes him off penalty duty! The other star man options are Mo Salah, Sam Vokes and Steven Defour. It was a tough decision between Firmino and Salah but Salah seems to be struggling with his end product. We’ve gambled on the chance that Philippe Coutinho could be back for the Reds and he’ll hopefully help fill the quality gap left by the missing Mane. Emre Can is always capable of producing something special and Oxlade-Chamberlain may get a look in, whether in the starting XI or from the bench, and could have a decent impact. We have 2 players to represent Burnley, the first of whom is summer signing, Chris Wood. He’s managed a goal in each of his 2 appearances so far so perhaps he can manage it again? Our final choice is Stephen Ward, who managed to bag a goal on the opening weekend of the season against Chelsea.
