Gameweek 9 Differentials – Fantasy Football Tips

This article will look at 5 players selected by under 5% of managers that could be strong differentials for gameweek 9 for a one week punt or beyond to push managers up the overall rankings.

Bejamin Chilwell (£5.4m) – Leicester – 4.2% TSB

In gameweek 9 Leicester host Burnely in what should be a high calibre match, but could also lack goals due to the strength of both teams defences. Chilwell also has the potential for attacking returns as he bombs down the left hand side. Leicester have only conceded 7 goals this season in 8 games and so they are unlikely to leak many at the back. Burley have also only scored just over one goal per game reinforcing the chance of a clean sheet. Leicester also have strong fixtures for a prolonged period of time so those of you looking for a more long term differential then Chilwell could be a great option at a fairly affordable price.

Nicolas Pepe (£9.3m) – Arsenal – 3.5% TSB

In gameweek 9 Arsenal face an away trip against newly promoted Sheffield United. Arsenal have scored 13 goals this season averaging over 1.5 goals per game and Pepe has picked up only 1 goal and 2 assists so far this season. However, Arsenal now embark on a long run of favourable fixtures where Pepe can get back into the stride we saw from him in Ligue 1 and produce the quality in front of goal and creating chances that FPL managers are looking for.

Harry Wilson (£6.2m) – Bournemouth – 3.6% TSB

Bournemouth host Norwich in gameweek 9 and Wilson has looked a really strong performer this season especially from set pieces and is priced will for fantasy managers. He has managed 3 goals from 7 appearances so far this season and this weekend Bournemouth host Norwich who have conceded the most goals in the league and have the second worst expected goals conceded across the period. Norwich are known for attacking and so there is definitely room for several goals in this fixture and now that Harry Wilson seems to have secured a spot in the team he could provide a very strong differential for managers.

Lucas Moura (£7.1m) Tottenham – 4.1% TSB

Spurs who host bottom of the league Watford in gameweek 9, who have conceded the second most goals in the league so far this season, but have the worst predicted goals showing they have been lucky not to have conceded more. Son has played a large amounts of minutes over the international break and combining this with Spurs poor form over the past few game weeks they could easily revert back to last season and give Moura more minutes as he was so strong in front of goal. I expect Spurs to bounce back quickly and Moura more than likely to be involved.

Wesley Moraes (£6.1m) – Aston Villa – 2.8% TSB

Aston Villa host Brighton in gameweek 9, whilst in gameweek 8 Wesley picked up 2 goals, an assist and max bonus as well as having a penalty saved. He is a very affordable price and so a potential on form differential that most managers could easily find a route into their teams. Aston Villa have looked strong this season, but did not shown their true form until gameweek 8 when they scored 5 and so they will be hoping to continue that form after the international break and when they are attacking Wesley always seems to be involved.
