FPL Updates Gameweek 28 – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Well I’m glad that’s over. Blank gameweeks are the times where I hope to make some decent ground over the so called “casuals.” However, I’m staring down the barrel of a red arrow. 37 points just beat the 35 point average and not one player hit double digits.

We’ve only got a single day off before GW28, so it’s time to forget that horror show and move on. Although like most managers, our side is picking up a worrying amount of injuries.

Just the single clean sheet for the side thanks to Robertson derby day goalless draw which saw him registered a couple of bps too. It came at the cost of a slight knock after he took the weight of Lukaku on his back. Doherty drew a penalty for the only assist in the side. A single save point was the only other positive. Pereira was booked for a 0 pointer on debut and Bednarek covered AWB with a point.

A full house of blanks in the midfield for the first time this season. Salah has 3 blanks in his last 4 games but he embarks on a strong run of fixtures over the coming weeks. Captain Son registered his 3rd blank in 14 appearances.

Although we were late on the Jimenez bandwagon I’m glad to have him in the side. He converted a penalty in his sides draw. Rashford blanked but was lucky to play more than five minutes even though he lasted the full game. It’s come at a cost as he’s looks set to miss Wednesday’s game.

Transfer: Saved. Even though Rashford is out we’ve a strong bench. With a lot of uncertainty at the moment, I think it’s best to ride out this gameweek with what we have.

We’re playing 4-4-2 for the second week in a row. Guaita faces a depleted Man Utd side who will have to field a second string side. Pereira has Brighton and his side should get a new manager bounce after Puel’s sacking. The attacking wingback of Doherty and Robertson both have strong fixtures against Huddersfield and Watford respectively. Bednarek covers Rashford’s absence against Fulham.

Pogba travels to Selhurst Park and will have to carry his injury ridden side. Son travels to Chelsea who’ve played 120 minutes on Sunday. Jota’s coming of the back of two 1 pointers but he’s got at least two games left in the side with his fixtures. Salah has Watford at home and we can all recall what happened last season, although he’s likely to be without Firmino.

Jimenez faces the side at the bottom of the league and Aguero comes back into the fray after his blank. He did complete 120 minutes Sunday which wasn’t ideal.

Captain: The 2 main candidates are Aguero and Salah. Aguero has the form over Salah but both have favourable fixtures. However, West Ham have a worse defence than Watford who are currently best of the rest and Salah hasn’t been his usual self over recent weeks.
