FPL Gameweek 11 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 10 proved to be a rather predictable and an extremely high scoring one and now the 11th gameweek of the season dawns on us which we reckon might comparatively prove to be a low scoring one, with a few hidden gems potentially shining.

So good luck and may your arrows be green! Here’s our FPL gameweek 11 preview:

Bournemouth vs Sunderland

Cherries have been great in recent weeks, but their run was disrupted by a dominating Boro side. This week they come up against a Sunderland side which is winless since day 1 and this could be the perfect opportunity for the Cherries to grab a victory. On the other hand, it could be seen as a major opportunity for Sunderland to take the first step towards avoiding relegation. It seems like it’ll be an end to end game with both teams desperate for the 3 points.

STAR MAN: Jermain Defoe (7.3m)

He is the only man that can save Sunderland from getting relegated this season.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 1-2 Sunderland

Burnley vs Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace come into this game having lost each of their last 3 games, though they did put up a fight in each of them. This week they come up against a Burnley side that was able to snatch a point from their visit to Old Trafford courtesy of the brilliance displayed by Tom Heaton. Pardew will be determined to have his team put in a strong performance and get back to winning ways and these are the kind of games he needs.

STAR MAN: Christian Benteke (7.7m)

3 blanks in the last 3 weeks, he is almost nailed on to get on the scoresheet this week.

PREDICTION: Burnley 1-3 Crystal Palace

Manchester City vs Middlesbrough

The Citizens finally returned to winning ways last time out having hammered 4 past the Baggies, and with the lethalness their frontman Sergio Aguero possesses, this seems to be going all one way.

STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (13.1m)

Who else could it possibly be? Brace yourselves for another gameweek filled with “Agueroooooooooo!”

PREDICTION: Manchester City 4-0 Middlesbrough

West Ham vs Stoke

Stoke City have been simply phenomenal in recent weeks with 3 wins in the last 3 weeks, and they now sit comfortably in 12th position in the table. However, this week could be the real test of their pedigree as they travel south to face an out of sorts Hammers side. On form, this fixture has one winner, but you never know when West Ham have the brilliance of Payet to call upon.

STAR MAN: Dimitri Payet (9.4m)

The Frenchman has to step up if the Hammers are to taste victory this weekend.

PREDICTION: West Ham 2-2 Stoke

Chelsea vs Everton

A big clash between 2 of the top 6 as the Toffees travel south to go head to head against a recently flawless Chelsea side. Chelsea haven’t lost a game in the last 4 fixtures while Everton are on the back of a home win against the Hammers. It seems like it will be a pretty lively game with both sides fighting it out for each and every point.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (9.8m)

With 3 goals and 2 assists in the last 4 games, he is destined to be a big threat in front of goal when he returns to the Bridge.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 2-2 Everton

Arsenal vs Tottenham

The Gunners have been in impeccable form ever since they lost their opening fixture at home to Liverpool. Their competition this week, Tottenham, boast the league’s best defence along with an unbeaten record this season. However, this Spurs side haven’t been up to the mark in recent games after three consecutive draws and the Gunners will be looking to take advantage at home and look to end Spurs’ unbeaten run thus far.

STAR MAN: Mesut Ozil (9.6m)

Got his first assist last weekend and will be looking to master the midfield against this Spurs team.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-1 Tottenham

Hull vs Southampton

Hull have just drifted away from their decent start to the season and look like a team in complete disarray. Southampton have made a decent start to the season and will be looking to bounce back after losing at their unbeaten home record to Chelsea last time out. There just seems to be one outcome from this game and that is for Southampton to get the three points easily.

STAR MAN: Charlie Austin (6.6m)

The big man will definitely act as a thorn in the already weak Hull City defence.

PREDICTION: Hull 0-2 Southampton

Liverpool vs Watford

The reds have been in sparkling form and came through the Selhurst Park test with flying colours. Watford have been very good defensively this season and will prove to be a stern opposition to break down for the Liverpool attack. Seems to be a tough task for the reds who might just get through this game with the home advantage and push on for the top spot in the table.

STAR MAN: Roberto Firmino (8.6m)

Scored one last weekend and has been in good form; he might fancy himself to put a couple past the Hornets.

PREDICTION: Liverpool 2-1 Watford

Swansea vs Manchester United

A dismal run for the Swans sees them drop into the relegation zone. Both these teams are badly out of form and are winless in their last four games. However, with the pressure on this Manchester United team, it might just be the fixture they need in order to stay in the hunt for a top four spot.

STAR MAN: Marcus Rashford (6.9m)

The youngster has been the most impressive player on the pitch recently for the Red Devils and is set for the striker role against the Swans.

PREDICTION: Swansea 1-3 Manchester United

Leicester vs West Brom

West Brom are winless in their last five games and the pressure is on Pulis after recently signing a new contract with the Baggies. Leicester are beginning to find some form and will be looking to push on but the Baggies defence would’ve been well drilled by Pulis after conceding four last week at the hands of City. Looks to be an open game with Leicester having the advantage thanks to their pacy attack.

STAR MAN: Riyad Mahrez (9.1m)

Five consecutive blanks for this man, he will be looking to show his class and silence the critics by mastering the midfield.

PREDICTION: Leicester City 2-0 West Brom
