FPL Gameweek 37 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

So here we are in the penultimate gameweek of the season which offers a lot of footballing action and enticing fixtures. As mentioned in the fantasy football magazine, there are fifteen games to be played this week and managers will be looking to use their remaining chips to great effect. To help you decide on transfers, line-ups and how best to use those remaining chips, here is our result and star men predictions.

So good luck and may your arrows be green!

Everton vs Watford

Guaranteed European action next season and almost destined to finish in 7th place are the Toffees who have had a pretty decent season. Watford on the other hand are definitely safe with 40 points and will already be looking to focus on next season. At home, Everton are definitely the favourites to get the three points.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (10.2m)

The big man seems to already have one hand on the golden boot this season and will be looking to put all competition to bed by getting on the scoresheet this week.

PREDICTION: Everton 2-0 Watford

West Brom vs Chelsea

Could this be coronation day for the Blues? Chelsea come up against a West Bromwich side and need just 3 points to clinch the title. The Baggies have struggled to score in the previous few games, managing just 2 goals in their last five fixtures. It seems like this will be the game Chelsea wrap up the league title, with 2 games to spare.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.3m)

Pivotal in the middle of the park for the Blues. Who better than this man to win it with a goal for his team?

PREDICTION: West Brom 0-1 Chelsea

Manchester City vs Leicester

Manchester City are still yet to confirm their place in the top four and a win here would put one foot towards achieving that feat. They are up against a Leicester team who haven’t been too great on their travels this season but are in form after winning two games on the spin. The Leicester attack might cause some problems for the City backline but in the end, they should be comfortable at home and earn the desired three points.

STAR MAN: Gabriel Jesus (8.9m)

With Aguero still out, he might be the man who is key in providing the early breakthrough for his team.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 2-1 Leicester City

Bournemouth vs Burnley

Both these teams have been tremendous in their work rate this season and will be playing in the Premier League again next season having crossed the 40 point mark. Both teams will now be looking at finishing the season on a high by winning their remaining fixtures and carrying that momentum into next season. Should be a really open game with both sides getting their fair share of chances.

STAR MAN: Joshua King (6.2m)

When it comes to Bournemouth, who else would you choose to be your star man? He has been in great form recently and will be looking to add to his impressive performances.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 2-2 Burnley

Middlesbrough vs Southampton

Middlesbrough have sadly been relegated from the Premier League as of last week and will be playing for pride in their final home game of the season. Southampton have had kind of a disappointing campaign and haven’t performed up to their fans expectations and will be looking to make amends with the games they have left.

STAR MAN: Alvaro Negredo (6.2m)

He will be looking to end his season on a high and grab the attention of other clubs.

PREDICTION: Middlesbrough 1-1 Southampton

Sunderland vs Swansea

Sunderland came back to haunt the Tigers last time around after surprisingly beating them at the KCOM Stadium. This time around they face Swansea who are in the same boat as Hull and needing to win this game to keep their Premier League survival in their own hands. Sunderland will be difficult to beat at home as they are playing with no pressure whereas the Swans have it all to do this weekend. This certainly makes for a feisty fixture this week..

STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.4m)

Who other than this man to lead his team to safety and add to his impressive performances this season?

PREDICTION: Sunderland 1-2 Swansea City

Stoke vs Arsenal

The Potters must be disappointed with their performances this season and certainly not happy about where they find themselves in the table either, especially with the firepower they possess. The Gunners have probably had one of their worst seasons under Arsene Wenger, having lost nine games this season, and finding themselves outside the top four at this part of the campaign. Arsenal have been known to produce the goods when under pressure and there is just no room for error now as the players give it their all to get into the top four.

STAR MAN: Mesut Ozil (9.5m)

After a rather forgettable season for this man, he will be looking to guide his team into the top four with a much needed stellar performance.

PREDICTION: Stoke City 1-3 Arsenal

Crystal Palace vs Hull

Both Palace and the Tigers are on the back of disappointing defeats last weekend with Marcos Silva suffering his first home defeat in a number of years to none other than a relegated Sunderland side. Palace are on the back of a thumping at the Etihad and will definitely be looking to bounce back. A Palace win seems to be on the cards.

STAR MAN: Christian Benteke (7.3m)

The big Belgian will be the man Big Sam will be looking to to get home the points.

PREDICTION: Crystal Palace 2-0 Hull

West Ham vs Liverpool

The Hammers were a major surprise package last time out having secured a victory against the mighty Spurs and this week welcome the Reds from Liverpool. Klopp’s side played out a goalless draw last time out and with both sides looking to get a result, this could bring the best out of both sides.

STAR MAN: Phillippe Coutinho (8.5m)

With the Reds low on confidence, the Brazilian could be the man to inspire his side to victory.

PREDICTION: West Ham 2-2 Liverpool

Tottenham vs Manchester United

Super Sunday ends with definitely the game of the weekend as Jose’s men travel to the Lane. With Mourinho having already expressed his desire to get into the Champions league via the Europa League, he is bound to rest his key men in order to avoid any more of his men on the treatment table.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (11.7m)

If Spurs are to get past the prolific David de Gea, this man will have to be involved.

PREDICTION: Tottenham 2-1 Manchester United

Chelsea vs Watford

Chelsea have been in rampant form and have slaughtered almost everything that has come their way this season. With the form & firepower the Blues possess, this fixture could be yet another Chelsea masterclass.

STAR MAN: John Terry (5.2m)

He will definitely be looking to start the penultimate home game of the season & will be pumped up to give another moment for the fans to savour.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 3-0 Watford

Arsenal vs Sunderland

The Black Cats travel to London with nothing but pride to play for, having already had their relegation to the Championship confirmed, but the Gunners are indeed still in the race for Champions League football next season and will be looking to do all they can to keep even a single glimmer of hope alive.

STAR MAN : Alexis Sanchez (11.6m)

The Chilean hasn’t been at his very best lately but will be looking to end the season on a high.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-1 Sunderland

Manchester City vs West Brom

The Baggies have been no good since reaching the 40 point mark and this week travel to the Etihad to face a hungry City side. With the miserable run the Baggies are currently on, this fixture could result in nothing but a massive scoreline in City’s favour.

STAR MAN: Kevin de Bruyne (10.4m)

The Belgian leads the league in terms of assists this season & will be looking to provide that creative spark from midfield.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 4-0 West Brom

Southampton vs Manchester United

The Red Devils travel to St. Mary’s with the hope of ending the season with a respectable position. Southampton have had a solid defensive line lately but have suffered in the goalscoring department this season with just 17 goals in the last 16 home games. With the Europa League slightly out of Jose’s mind, he might want to field a strong side & have a go at the Saints.

STAR MAN: Anthony Martial (9.2m)

The Frenchman’s pace & ability to run behind defences could be something that could haunt the Saints.

PREDICTION: Southampton 0-2 Manchester United

Leicester vs Tottenham

The last game of the gameweek involves Spurs travelling to the home of the current Champions in order to catch the league leaders. This fixture promises large amounts of action with both sides trying to catch each other on the counter.

STAR MAN: Christian Eriksen (8.9m)

It could be one of those days which a trademark Eriksen free kick wins the game for his side.

PREDICTION: Leicester City 0-1 Tottenham
