Gameweek 15 FPL Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

The Christmas period is approaching with games coming thick and fast and we’ve already seen a certain amount of player rotations and many FPL managers being affected because of that. So here we are, to analyse and determine who we think will be the men of the hour for this gameweek and predict how each fixture could pan out.

Good luck & may your arrows be green!

Chelsea vs Newcastle

Newcastle, with a draw against the Baggies away from home, ended their four game losing streak but now face the test of the defending champions away from home at the Bridge. Chelsea will be looking to come out on top as they find themselves just 3 points behind second place. Looks like a dominant Chelsea performance on the cards.

STAR MAN: Eden Hazard (10.7m)

After being named as a sub midweek, he will definitely be a part of the starting line-up for the Blues.

PREDICTION: Chelsea 2-0 Newcastle

Brighton vs Liverpool

Brighton have been playing some reasonably good football and are not easy to beat at home. Liverpool do have the tendency to mess up such games against the so called lesser teams away from home. This might just be an interesting game at this point of the season and could go either way.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (9.8m)

Still an absolute steal at that price, get him now if you still haven’t!

PREDICTION: Brighton 1-2 Liverpool

Everton vs Huddersfield

Everton were impressive midweek with a 4-0 victory against the Hammers but need to now show some consistency. Huddersfield on the other hand took a battering away at the Emirates and must be low on confidence. If the Toffees play the same way as they did in midweek, this game should be a stroll in the park for them.

STAR MAN: Gylfi Sigurdsson (8.0m)

An assist midweek to add to his recent attacking returns, is he on the cusp of a run of fantasy points?

PREDICTION: Everton 2-0 Huddersfield

Leicester vs Burnley

Leicester are sitting mid table but they did manage to overcome Spurs at home on Tuesday night, a great result for the Foxes. This time around, they are up against a Burnley side who have shocked everyone this season and find themselves in 6th place at the moment, above Spurs! Home advantage could play a role in this fixture for Leicester.

STAR MAN: Jamie Vardy (8.5m)

He has had a decent season so far and found himself on the scoresheet yet again in midweek. Certainly a threat going forward for the Foxes.

PREDICTION: Leicester 2-1 Burnley

Stoke vs Swansea

Stoke are out of form this season and look as though they are in for a relegation scrap. Swansea have looked poor this season too and that is the reason they find themselves in 19th place. With the struggling form of both teams, we can only predict that it being a home fixture will give the Potters the edge.

STAR MAN: Xherdan Shaqiri (6.0m)

The only player who has delivered when needed for Stoke must be the man to get them home in this game as well.

PREDICTION: Stoke 2-0 Swansea

Watford vs Tottenham

Pochettino’s side find themselves struggling in the table, not only after dropping away from being title contenders but also out of the top 4 midweek. Spurs sit 7th in the league table, and if they are to even keep hopes of catching Man City to the title, they need to start getting consistent points on the board.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.8m)

The Englishman has the ability to single handedly change the course of any game on his day.

PREDICTION: Watford 1-3 Tottenham

West Brom vs Crystal Palace

The Baggies come into this game having put in two half decent performances after their hammering at home against Chelsea and they sit just 2 points above the relegation scrap. Palace on the other hand bagged their first away point of the season in the midweek gameweek against Brighton. This fixture promises to be a cagey affair with both sides having their fair share of chances.

STAR MAN: Christian Benteke (7.6m)

The Big Belgian is back, and his ability to bully defenders could be something that could trouble the Baggies back 4.

PREDICTION: West Brom 1-1 Crystal Palace

Arsenal vs Manchester United

Saturday ends with what we can call the game of the gameweek, with 2 Premier League giants going head to head at the Emirates. The Gunners are unbeaten at home this season & Wenger will definitely not want that to change, but with Jose Mourinho in the opposite dugout, you can always expect the unexpected.

STAR MAN: Paul Pogba (8.0m)

His return to United’s starting line-up has developed a creative spark, and the Frenchman will be crucial if United are to take home the 3 points.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 0-1 Manchester United

Bournemouth vs Southampton

The midweek gameweek saw the Cherries succumb to a Burnley masterclass which resulted in them falling to 15th place on the league table. Howe & his boys will surely be looking to make amends, and a low in confidence Saints side shouldn’t be one to trouble them.

STAR MAN: Charlie Daniels (5.0m)

The full back has been solid defensively and it might not be long until he starts delivering at both ends of the pitch.

PREDICTION: Bournemouth 2-0 Southampton

Manchester City vs West Ham

The Citizens are at home and seem to be as hungry as ever. This week, Moyes’ Hammers side travel to the Etihad and we definitely can’t see them escaping the wrath of this ruthless City side.

STAR MAN: Sergio Aguero (11.7m)

If he starts, he scores. Simple.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 3-0 West Ham
