Gameweek 34 Preview

After the smallest gameweek of the campaign, we are treated to the largest gameweek of the season so hopefully we can get some record points in this round!

SOUTOTSouthampton v Tottenham

This top-seven clash will perhaps still have some impetus to it as both sides fight it out for a European place next season, so it could potentially be a defensive horror show. Spurs go into the game with better form however.

STAR MAN – Harry KANE

Now up for player of the season, Kane reached thirty goals in all competitions last weekend, so let’s hope he advances on this.

BURLEIBurnley v Leicester City

A huge six pointer down the wrong end of the league table, this game may well just make one side not involved in the Fantasy Premier League next season with the relegation battle drawing to a close.

STAR MAN – Esteban CAMBIASSO

The experience that the Argentine provides for a team like Leicester is second to none, and he’s had a big hand in their recent resurgence.

CRYHULCrystal Palace v Hull City

The Eagles suffered a minor blip in their last outing but may find it difficult to bounce back as Steve Bruce will be desperate to get something from this game in the bid to stay up and ensure survival for another year.

STAR MAN – Tom HUDDLESTONE

The curly powerhouse will look to exploit the small pitch at Selhurst Park and get among the goals for his side’s safety.

NEWSWANewcastle v Swansea

A tie between two teams who have nothing to play for, we may well be seeing a dull encounter at St James Park.

STAR MAN – Daryl JANMAAT

The signing of the season for the Magpies, Janmaat should be keeping a clean sheet here plus he assisted in his previous match.

QPRWHUQPR v West Ham

Queens Park Rangers know they will have to take advantage of their home fixtures as they take on West Ham who do not really have anything left to play for this campaign.

STAR MAN – Charlie AUSTIN

A few whispers touting Austin for an international call-up, he should be getting the ball in the back of the net in this game.

STKSUNStoke City v Sunderland

Stoke are chasing a record league points tally and should be on course for three points here because Sunderland have been poor to watch all season long and there is no sign that this will change anytime soon.

STAR MAN – Charlie ADAM

Whether it is from five yards out or from fifty yards out, Adam has been a goal threat this Easter for the Potters.

WBALIVWest Brom v Liverpool

Tony Pulis has steered his Baggies to safety it would seem and Liverpool will be totally downbeat following their disappointing FA Cup defeat.

STAR MAN – Chris BRUNT

He is up there at the top of the assists tally in 2015; Brunt has been an unsung hero for West Bromwich Albion.

MCIAVLManchester City v Aston Villa

The champions will soon be waving goodbye to their title crown but their performances still need to be stepped up if they are to play in the Champions League next season, as they face their second consecutive claret and blue opposition.

STAR MAN – Pablo ZABALETA

The Argentine right back loves to bomb forward, and his assist in the Manchester derby went unnoticed, as well as possessing good defensive ability.

EVEMUNEverton v Manchester United

Roberto Martinez won this fixture comfortably last season, and there is no reason why his team cannot go for the spectacular again as his team have won four of their last five Premier League matches. However Manchester United are also playing at their best.

STAR MAN – Juan MATA

The Spaniard has been key to the recent revival of the Red Devils.

ARSCHEArsenal v Chelsea

The London derby is the tie of the gameweek as second hosts first. Chelsea will want to secure the league title as soon as possible but the Gunners still may have a hand in the race to be crowned champions.

STAR MAN – Alexis SANCHEZ

The Chilean has been simply sensational, and got a brace in the FA Cup semi-final against Reading last weekend.

HULLIVHull City v Liverpool

Hull as mentioned earlier need points fast as the fixtures are running out, but Rodgers has a history of finishing the season strongly in this double gameweek tie.

STAR MAN – Philippe COUTINHO

Brazilian brilliance from the young man, and a tidy finish in the Cup was still not enough to put his side through.

LEICHELeicester City v Chelsea

The Foxes may not have enough firepower to continue their winning run against Mourinho’s table toppers as they look to romp home with the crown.

STAR MAN – Eden HAZARD

We just have to go for him again, he’s on fire!

Dean.
