Gameweek 4 FPL Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 3 was host to some great fixtures and after what felt like a long international break, we welcome the return of the Premier League this weekend. With preparing your team in mind and as the competition moves into its 4th week, lets assess where the points opportunities are for this coming gameweek.

Good luck and may your arrows be green!

Manchester City vs Liverpool

Gameweek 4 opens with a bang with 2 Premier League giants going head to head in a lunch time kick off. Liverpool have been playing some great offensive football and with City’s attack not yet clicking to such a great extent, an away win for the Reds might just be on the cards.

STAR MAN: Mohamed Salah (9.0m)

The Egyptian has pace to burn and will be a menace for the City defensive line.

PREDICTION: Manchester City 1-3 Liverpool

Arsenal vs Bournemouth

Both sides have been extremely poor since the start of the season and will be looking to rise up the table. Wenger and his boys have been through much criticism over the international break & they will be hoping to start putting wrongs right this weekend.

STAR MAN: Alexis Sanchez (11.9m)

Arsenal’s main man will be looking to single handedly guide his side to the 3 points.

PREDICTION: Arsenal 3-0 Bournemouth

Brighton vs West Brom

The Baggies have started the season fairly well with 2 wins and a draw from the opening 3. Brighton on the other hand have been not up to the mark, and we definitely can’t expect them to deliver against an in-form Baggies side.

STAR MAN: Jay Rodriguez (5.9m)

Finally, the former Saints lad has hit the ground running. Can definitely expect him to be the bright spark in the Baggies attack.

PREDICTION: Brighton 0-1 West Brom

Everton vs Tottenham

Yet another tasty fixture we have at hand. Tottenham on one hand will want to make a comeback after a disappointing draw at home against Burnley while the Toffees were outclassed by the Blues of London last time out. With both sides looking for nothing less than a win, it could just bring the best out of both.

STAR MAN: Harry Kane (12.5m)

The curse of August is over after all.

PREDICTION: Everton 1-2 Tottenham

Leicester vs Chelsea

The champions have made a strong comeback after the shock result on the opening weekend with 2 convincing wins on the trot. Leicester on the other hand were unlucky on the opening weekend of the season and are yet to fully impress. The Foxes will definitely have yet another go, but this Chelsea side looks too strong to overpower.

STAR MAN: Alvaro Morata (10.1m)

2 goals and 2 assists in the first 3 games, keep a watch on the former Real Madrid man.

PREDICTION: Leicester 0-2 Chelsea

Southampton vs Watford

The Saints have been in decent form after going unbeaten in their first three matches, similar to the Hornets who have also matched the same results. Both teams will be looking to maintain this form and that’s what is going to make this contest quite interesting.

STAR MAN: Manolo Gabbiadini (7.0m)

At this price he offers great possibilities for returns and is the focal point of the Saints attack.

PREDICTION: Southampton 2-0 Watford

Stoke vs Manchester United

The Potters have only scored two goals this season with their attack struggling to click but they have been defensively strong, conceding just the two goals till now. The Red Devils on the other hand have been flawless and have scored ten goals without conceding. Even though they are at home, the Potters will have to come out with an extraordinary performance to beat this United side.

STAR MAN: Romelu Lukaku (11.6m)

He has been in great form in the international break and will be looking to return amongst the goals for his team again after missing out in the previous week.

PREDICTION: Stoke 0-2 Manchester United

Burnley vs Crystal Palace

Burnley have not made a bad start to the league considering their fixtures after overcoming the champions in the first game and drawing with Spurs in gameweek 3. They will certainly make it difficult for this Palace side who are yet to register a point this season. At home, the advantage is certainly in the hands of the Clarets.

STAR MAN: Steven Defour (5.5m)

He plays a more advanced role in the side and is certain to pop up in some goal scoring positions more often than not.

PREDICTION: Burnley 2-1 Crystal Palace

Swansea vs Newcastle

Both sides are on the back of a convincing victory after keeping clean sheets in their last game. The Swans will be a bit short in attack after the departure of their main playmaker Sigurdsson but the arrival of Bony certainly does make up for that. The Magpies will be looking to keep the momentum going by winning again but the the Swans playing at home certainly do have an advantage and will give Newcastle a tough fight.

STAR MAN: Wilfried Bony (6.0m)

The man is back in Swansea colours and will be looking to regain the fame that he had lost in his time at City.

PREDICTION: Swansea 1-1 Newcastle

West Ham vs Huddersfield

Monday night football sees the Hammers take on the new boys who have certainly been impressive after taking the major leap from the Championship to the Premier League and are yet to be beaten. The Hammers on the contrary have been absolutely poor both in attack and defence. A must win for the Hammers this is.

STAR MAN: Chicharito (7.1m)

The little pea has not been consistent thus far but will be looking to get his team over the line this time around.

PREDICTION: West Ham 2-1 Huddersfield
