Gameweek 4 Preview – Fantasy Football Tips

Gameweek 4 is upon us and this gameweek is the last before the first international break of the season. Many fantasy managers will look to play their wildcard in the international break, so planning your transfers will be key this week. Read on to see our fixture previews, star men and predictions in the gameweek 4 preview:

Southampton vs Manchester United

Southampton come into this fixture off the back of their first win of the season, with a 0-2 victory against a 10 man Brighton. United on the other hand have won 1, drew 1 and lost one and will be looking to get back to winning ways after a shock defeat to Palace last gameweek.

Star Man – Marcus Rashford (£8.7m)

After missing a penalty last gameweek, he will be wanting to get back to goal scoring ways.

Prediction: Southampton 1-3 Manchester United

Chelsea vs Sheffield United

Surprisingly, Sheffield United are currently sitting above Chelsea in 9th place after 3 games, although there is a long way to go just yet! Chelsea picked up their first win last gameweek, whilst the Blades suffered to defeat against Leicester and it could be more of the same with the Blues starting to pick up some form.

Star Man – Mason Mount (£6.2m)

Having picked up his first Premier League goal last season, Mount will be hungry for more.

Prediction: Chelsea 3-0 Sheffield United

Crystal Palace vs Aston Villa

After their shock victory against Manchester United, Palace have Premier League new boys Villa to contend with this gameweek. Villa picked up their first victory in 15 Premier League games last week and will be hoping they don’t need to wait that long again for their next!

Star Man – Tom Heaton (£4.5m)

Having joined Villa this summer, Heaton has already cemented his spot in the side, keeping a clean sheet last gameweek too!

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Aston Villa

Leicester vs Bournemouth

Leicester have had a quiet start to the season, but find themselves in 4th position after 1 win and 2 draws. Bournemouth on the other hand have been very lacklustre with them picking up a win against Villa, draw against Sheffield and a defeat against City last week. Both teams will want to pick up a victory ahead of the international break, but this could be a very close encounter.

Star Man – Jamie Vardy (£8.9m)

After a slow start to the season, Vardy found the back of the net last week and will want to continue this form into gameweek 4.

Prediction: Leicester 2-1 Bournemouth

Manchester City vs Brighton

Man City are solid at both ends of the pitch but a new Brighton side will definitely test their backline due to their more attacking mentality. A wonder free kick prevented City a CS but attackingly they’re unstoppable. New signing Trossard created the most chances last gameweek despite having 10 men.

Star Man – Sergio Aguero (£12.0m)

A nailed Sergio Aguero leading the line up this City attack spells goals. An injury to Jesus means he just pips Sterling as he’s got pens and a he’s scored 4 in 3 games.

Prediction Manchester City 3-0 Brighton

Newcastle vs Watford

After two defeats, Newcastle surprised Spurs with a 0-1 victory away from home, whilst Watford continued their terrible form and are currently sitting rock bottom of the Premier League with 0 points. Rumours are that Watford may be sacking Javi Gracia and with the form they are in, Newcastle will be looking to pick up another win!

Star Man – Joelinton (£5.9m)

The Magpies will look to the new signing for more goals after providing the winner against Spurs.

Prediction: Newcastle 2-1 Watford

West Ham vs Norwich

A point only separates these two sides and there’s not budget strikers making their way into both sides. Norwich’s attacking mentality is clear with 2 goals a game so far. West Ham’s new signing Haller burst onto the scene this week with a brace and will love to face the side who’s conceded the most goals this season.

Star Man – Teemu Pukki (£6.9m)

Who else?! The games highest scoring player is in great form and clinical once he gets a sight at goal.

Prediction West Ham 2-2 Norwich

Burnley vs Liverpool

The only side with a 100% record travels to a solid Burnley side. Barnes is in arguably the best form of his career and has netted in every game so far and Liverpool are yet to keep a clean sheet. Burnley have conceded plenty of chances so Liverpool’s front 3 will be licking their lips

Star man: Mohamed Salah (£12.5m)

After a blank in gameweek 2 the most sold player punished sellers with a brace. Liverpool will see plenty of possession and the Eygptian will be the man to break past Dyche’s defensive bus.

Prediction: Burnley 1-3 Liverpool

Everton vs Wolves

Everton found themselves with one of the easiest opening set of Premier League fixtures, mean that many managers selected their FPL assets, however with just 1 goal in 3 fixtures, many have been left disappointed. Wolves on the other hand have had Europa League fixtures to contend with along with the Premier League, but they have done so with ease. They will be looking to continue this form against the Toffee’s this week.

Star Man – Raul Jimenez (£7.4m)

Their main source of goals and he doesn’t look like he will stop scoring any time soon!

Prediction: Everton 0-3 Wolves

Arsenal vs Tottenham

Arguably the fixture of the gameweek, sees the North London Derby kick off as the last fixture of the weekend. Arsenal have started the better out of the two, with two wins and one defeat, whilst Spurs sit in 7th with 4 points. This will all be pushed aside as both teams will be up for the fixture which is likely to be one of the closest fixtures of the gameweek, but could be edged with a moment of magic.

Star Man – Harry Kane (£11.1m)

Kane loves a North London Derby and no doubt will look to give his side the edge once again.

Prediction: Arsenal 1-2 Tottenham
