Gameweek 5 Preview – Fantasy Football Tips

I am so happy footballs back after the dreaded international break.

Here’s our preview, star players and predictions for gameweek 5!

Liverpool vs Newcastle

Newcastle have started okay, and played really well against Spurs, but I expect Liverpool to continue their winning run.

Star Man: Mo Salah (£12.5m)

Relaxing week for the Egyptian so he should be raring to go

Prediction: Liverpool 2 – 0 Newcastle

Brighton vs Burnley

Burnley have great fixtures for the next few weeks, but I expect them to lose on Saturday against and daring Brighton side

Star Man: Leandro Trossard (£6.0m)

Looks at real threat and could form a really good partnership with Maupay

Prediction: Brighton 3-1 Burnley

Manchester United vs Leicester

Are Manchester United all that? I think this will be a key test of the new defence with Maguire playing against his long time teammate Jamie Vardy

Star Man: Jamie Vardy (£8.9m)

Could show up the newly put together Manchester United back 4, with the centreback pairing off on International duty this week when they probably could have done with some time training together

Prediction: Manchester United 1-1 Leicester

Sheffield United vs Southampton

Southampton are difficult to predict, but with Redmond injured they may struggle to break down a well drilled Sheffield United side

Star Man: Callum Robinson (£5.3m)

Made a real impression with a goal and assist before the international break

Prediction: Sheffield United 2-0 Southampton

Tottenham vs Crystal Palace

Palace have started much better than I expected, but Kane is on form and I expect them to have enough to beat a resurgent Palace side

Star Man: Harry Kane (£11.0m)

In great form for England, I expect him to carry this into the weekend

Prediction: Tottenham2 – 1 Crystal Palace

Wolves vs Chelsea

Both teams look decent going forward and both a slightly suspect at the back. Could be a high scoring draw

Star Man: Tammy Abraham (£7.2m)

The mans in form, 13 points 2 weeks in a row!

Prediction: Wolves 2 – 2 Chelsea

Norwich vs Manchester City

Norwich look good going forward but suspect at the back. Can City keep a cleansheet without Laporte?

Star Man: Sergio Aguero (£12.1m)

Could be a hatrick in a game like this!

Prediction: Norwich 1 – 5 Manchester City

Bournemouth vs Everton

Bournemouth haven’t started well, but Everton haven’t looked great either. A more attacking line up from Everton in their last game makes goal look a possibility

Star Man: Moise Kean (£6.8m)

Looked good in his first start and can see him picking up a goal against a poor Bournemouth defence

Prediction: Bournemouth 2 – 3 Everton

Watford vs Arsenal

Watford have changed their manager, and the last time round he prided himself on not conceding. I still think Arsenals front 3 will have too much for a likely defensive Watford side

Star Man: Lacazette (£9.4m)

Looked sharp before the international break with a great finish for his goal.

Prediction: Watford 0 – 2 Arsenal

Aston Villa vs West Ham

This has Monday night cracker written all over it. Villa will throw caution to the wind at home and the front 4 of West Ham look a real handful.

Star Man: Sebastian Haller (£7.5m)

Looks to have a bit of everything.

Prediction: Aston Villa 2 – 4 West Ham
