Gameweek 12 and still only one green arrow that came about in gameweek 2, thats 10 rounds with constant red arrows. The margins are getting smaller and sooner or later, a green arrow will appear! The lads scored a gracious 30 points this week, 10 behind the average leaving a lasting rank of 3,806,819, only 300k from dead last and way more than the original starting total of 3.6m players. A great achievement but the hard work certainly starts here!
Lets talk about how gameweek 12 got on before delving into the S**thouse XI team for this weekend.
Goalkeepers
Marshall (1) – Picked the right keeper as his deputy, Gomes, had a score double the Hull shot stopper!
Defenders
Barragan (2) – Boro were pretty tight against Chelsea and Barragan is a decent fullback. Lets hope he can last until my wildcard!
Francis (6) – Clean sheet number one for the Cherryman, thats right, there is more than one!
Lowton (0) – No, that’s not a blank score from Matt Lowton but the result of conceding 4 against the Baggies, thats right, the Baggies scored 4 past my defence!
Ogbonna (1) – Harry Kane spoiled the party for West Ham and with that, a single point for my Hammers centre back.
Kone (6) – In a week where Sunderland get a clean sheet and Anichebe scores a brace, I can accept the odd anomaly.
Total Defensive Points – 16
Midfielders
Captain Coquelin (6) – More than I expected from the dirty Frenchman.
Yacob (3) – 3 points for Claudio. Oh well, at least he didn’t score!
Behrami (2) – Standard 2 points for Valon; where are my yellow cards though?!
Dier (2) – One of my best additions to the S**thouse XI Squad, 2 points.
Forwards
Zaza (1) – As soon as West Ham signed this guy I was like, get him in my team! He hasn’t let me down.
The Bench (4) – With only Barry and Diomande not featuring because of suspensions, it was a great turnout!
Now onto this week. Here’s how the S**thouse XI look:
Transfer – Seeing as all 15 players in my team are regulars for their clubs, I am going to hold my transfer, giving me 2 next week.
Captain – I’m thinking Chelsea will torment a broken Spurs defence and Hazard and co will have too much pace for Eric to cope with. Here’s to hoping for a possible red card!
