Gross signed for Ingolstadt as a free transfer from Hoffenheim for the 2012/13 season. He then progressed to make 63 in the German first division appearances from 2015 to 2017. At 26 years of age Gross still has room for improvement and its possible he’ll be a great addition to the current Brighton squad.

A versatile option for Hughton’s squad as Gross can occupy almost any position in the centre of the park (CDM/CM/CAM). As Hughton’s quote above suggests, he’ll feature as an attacking midfielder andhe may be a great shout for a FPL bench this season, especially at the beginning of the season. In the top flight, Gross scored 5 goals and 4 assists at his time at Ingolstadt and therefore he may need to improve his strike rate excite FPL managers.

Although the game is live, Gross hasn’t yet been given a price, but he should come in round the 5.0m mark as a new signing and most likely to feature in the starting XI as an attacking midfielder, making him a brilliant bench option at the start of this season if he isn’t to expensive.

Brighton’s opening fixtures are as followes: Manchester City(H), Leicester City (A), Watford (A), West Bromwich Albion (H) and Bournemouth (A).
