So, without further ado, here is the FPL Updates team:

Updates

Its clear to see that we have gone with the usual tactic of playing 2 teams across the back 4. This week its Tottenham and West Brom who we bank on for clean sheets, seeing Lloris between the sticks and in front of him a solid back three of; Walker, McAuley and Dawson.

In the middle of the park we start Wijnaldum, who had a cracking week last gameweek which puts him in great stead for the derby this week. We then see two somewhat differentials in Eriksen and Montero, who both have the opportunity to score big this weekend. Finally, we have our only Manchester player in the form of De Bruyne, who has shown all season that he has so far been worth every penny spent on him by the City owners. Hopefully he can keep it up!

Finally up top we start a powerful front three of Costa, Vardy and Perez. The beauty of daily fantasy football is that you can take some massive gambles on your picks, which is what we have done with our captaincy pick this week… Ayoze Perez, over to you!

Now onto the FPL Avids team:

Avids

My two double ups in defence are Stoke’s Butland and Wollscheid. Stoke are finally showing the ability to keep a clean sheet. At home to Watford I feel the pair offer good value. The other double up for me is West Brom, with Dawson and Evans. They kept a clean sheet last weekend and I reckon they’ll repeat the feat against Norwich.

In midfield I’ve gone for an orthadox pick, Shaqiri. He is failing to deliver his potential so far. I keep thinking to myself, he’s got to score something! No so called big teams face overly easy games so I’ve opted for a more mid-priced approach. Wijnaldum will be looking to continue on from his 4 goals last weekend while Mahrez will be striving to prove a point that he’s Leicester’s main man after being benched. Ozil is showing glimpses of his Real form so he warrants a place in my team. I reckon there will be goals in the game against Everton. De Bruyne also gets in my squad. Despite a Manchester derby, his form is too good to ignore.

Up top I’ve gone for the opponents of De Bruyne and Ozil. Like I said above, I reckon both these games will be high scoring and this is why I’ve opted for Lukaku and Martial.

Note: Both teams are subject to change. May the best FPL manager win!
