Challenge the Pros – Gameweek 4 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

So last week we had a record number in our Challenge the Pro’s Premier Punt league and we want to beat that this week too! Last week Alan Partridge took home the majority of the pot, seeing himself top at the end of the gameweek. However this week, we are more than determined to win just as we did in gameweek 1!

This week we have once again teamed up with Premier Punt and we are running a £1.00 entry league with the cash being split on the same basis as last week (details can be found on the site). To enter and compete with us, follow the steps below:

In order to join the league, you need to follow some simple steps:

  1. Log-in or register on the Premier Punt website
  2. Once logged in, choose “Barclays Premier League – Game Week 4”
  3. Pick the team you think will beat us…
  4. Join the challenge “Challenge The Pro’s”

So the first thing to note is that this week we are banking on clean sheets from Manchester City and Southampton. We have stuck Stekelenburg between the sticks, with his team mate Targett sitting just in front of him in defence, as we expect the Saints to keep Norwich out. Alongside the Southampton defender we have two Manchester City defenders who seem to love a clean sheet, in the form of Kolarov and Mangala.

In the middle of the park we have gone with some differentials which will hopefully pay off. To start things off we have Jack Grealish who may be under some people’s radar, but he showed us last season what he can do! We then have one who will definitely not be under people’s radar, Mahrez, and hopefully he can continue the top class form he is showing at the moment. Our penultimate midfielder is Coutinho who was extremely unlucky not to grab a goal on Monday as a fantastic save kept him out, but hopefully he can keep his top form going as Liverpool face West Ham this week. Our final pick is Morrison, who had an extremely odd game against Chelsea after he missed a penalty and scored 2 goals! We’ll just take the two goals this week!

Finally up top we start possibly the most favoured striker this weekend, Sergio Aguero, need we say more about him? We have then gone with a bit of a punt on Rondon, who did show signs of promise and we fancy him to grab his first club goal this weekend against Stoke City. Finally we have Chelsea’s new boy Pedro who seems to fit perfectly into Chelsea’s system, lets hope this continues this week!

So, onto FPL Avids’ line-up:

Avids

In goal I’ve gone for Stekelenburg at home to Norwich. Saints kept a clean sheet against newcomers to the Premier League Watford & I think they’ll manage that again v Norwich. I’m doubling up on the City defence (The full-backs Sagna & Kolarov) who have yet to concede a goal this season after 3 games. Kolarov offers great attacking potential. A home game against Watford gives them a reasonable chance of keeping up this impressive run. Zouma completes my backline who will likely benefit from John Terry’s suspension. However, the reason I’ve not doubled up on the Blues defence is that they haven’t looked the same and Palace have a decent forward force.

In midfield I’ve gone with 4 unorthodox picks: Grealish at home to a struggling Sunderland, Ritchie at home to Leicester who can’t keep a clean sheet, Morrison who’s off the back of 2 goals against Chelsea and is travelling to Stoke, and finally Shaqiri who is at home to West Brom.

Completing my team is Agüero. I can see a hat-trick on the cards against newly promoted Watford! Featuring alongside him are Pedro and Diouf.

Note: Both teams are subject to change. May the best FPL Manager win!
