Captaincy Analysis – Game-week 7

With a low average scoring week and game-week 6 fixtures finished, this is how our captaincy picks from last week did:

Pick 1 – Diego Costa – 6 points
Pick 2 – Angel Di Maria – 2 points
The Differential – Graziano Pelle – 9 points
The Gamble – Emmanuel Adebayor – 1 point

Considering how low scoring the game-week was, two of our picks did relatively well. Anyway, whether you had a bad or good week… Onwards and (hopefully) upwards:

1. Sergio Aguero (AVL)

With Aguero’s goal tally steadily increasing and Aston Villa continuing their hard run of games, we expect the Argentine to get on the score-sheet in this game and that is why he is our top choice for captaincy this game-week.

2. Radamel Falcao (EVE)

The Manchester United front-line will be without Wayne Rooney which means Falcao & van Persie are likely to start up top with Mata in the hole. Everton have conceded 14 goals in their first 6 fixtures and with United at Old Trafford, we could expect a lot of goals in this game.

Differential – Leonardo Ulloa (BUR)

With Burnley only scoring 1 goal this season and conceding 8, Ulloa could go to town and add to his tally of 5 goals. However, Burnley did keep 3 clean sheets in a row and have already been given the “draw specialists” accolade, despite only being 6 games into the season.

Gamble – Daniel Sturridge (WBA)

Sturridge is set to make his Premier League return this weekend when West Brom come to Anfield. We imagine Sturridge will play some part, especially if he has had some game-time mid-week, and he could return to goal-scoring ways.
