Differentials XI – Gameweek 18

Merry Christmas all! Differentials XI did well once again in gameweek 17, and we look to continue this form into gameweek 18. The team scored a total of 44 points in gameweek 17, being above average! Here is how the team looked:

Differentials XI

Once again this week Mignolet didn’t play, but we started Rob Green anyway who scored us the usual 2 points. In defence we saw one clean sheet from Alderweireld (6 points), whilst our other three defenders (Trippier, Rangel and Mertesacker) only scored a solitary point each.

In midfield we saw two assists, one from Lallana and one from Fer, which as he was our captain means he brought us home a total of 10 points. Bolasie and Barkley scored the standard 2 points. Hopefully our midfield can start scoring a few more points here.

Finally, both of our strikers picked up goals, being one from Benteke and one from Giroud, meaning they brought home 8 and 6 points respectively.

So the Christmas changes:

Falcao (IN) -> Kane (OUT)

Here we are running out of strikers. Both Kane and Giroud are now over 5% ownership, therefore we may have to look at playing a different formation. However this week Kane goes out and in comes Falcao.

Here is how the team looks for the boxing day fixtures:

Differentials

Starting XI: Mignolet (4.1%), Cissokho (4.0%), Alderweireld (1.2%), Rangel (0.8%), Mertesacker (3.7%), Lallana (0.5%), Barkley (4.5%), Chamberlain (1.6%), Bolasie (2.0%), Benteke (1.0%), Falcao (2.1%)

Bench: Green (2.1%), Trippier (1.6%), Fer (1.0%), Giroud (6.0%)

This week we have started Simon Mignolet in goal against Burnley. Although he has been dropped we have taken the gamble that he may start, but if not Rob Green will come straight in for him. In defence we start with; Cissokho, Alderweireld, Rangel and Mertesacker. All have fixtures in which they could do well, and more importantly keep a clean sheet.

In the middle of the park we have dropped Fer to the bench as he has a game against Arsenal, and we have promoted Chamberlain to the starting XI. Alongside him we start Barkley, Bolasie and Lallana.

Finally up top we start new boy Falcao and we also give him the captain’s armband as he faces Newcastle United, hopefully he can pull it out the bag for us. Alongside him we start the big Belgian Benteke, but we have to drop Giroud to the third sub position as he is over 5% ownership.

Good luck all and we wish you all a very merry Christmas!
