Early Bandwagons

With game-week 1 only just gone, there are already Bandwagons here, there and everywhere. Here is our review of the current bandwagons and whether you should jump on, ‘jump off orkeep an eye on them.

JUMP ON:

Gylfi Sigurdsson – At just 6.1m, you can’t really go wrong here. The midfielder had a good pre-season with Swansea and is looking to carry that form into the 2014/2015 campaign. With a goal and an assist in their first game against Manchester United, it was a fine performance by the Icelandic playmaker.

Raheem Sterling – the youngster doesn’t seem to be fazed by anything. In Liverpool’s first game he managed a goal and an assist, which tallied up 12 points for the winger. Although he has tough games ahead, notably Manchester City, I wouldn’t bank on him not picking up a few points.

JUMP OFF:

Ross Barkley – Everyone and their mother seemed to have Barkley in their team last Friday. However, a training ground injury on the Friday morning ruled him out for around 4 months which saw everyone ship him out. If he is in your team, get rid before his price falls even more.

Stefan Jovetic – The striker looked like he would be in contention for that spot up-front a bit more this season. However, after firing a blank in the first game of the season, Edin Dzeko signing a new 4 year deal and Sergio Aguero retuning from injury, he may be one to get rid of.

KEEP AN EYE ON:

James Chester – The Hull City defender tallied up 15 points at the weekend, after a goal and an assist. However, whether or not he will consistently show this sort of form in the following weeks is another matter, but its definitely worth keeping tabs on this one.
