Gameweek 13 Preview

The gameweek 13 preview is here! Looking forward to this weekend’s matches? We are too! Here is our analysis of what is to come.

West Brom vs Arsenal

West Brom v Arsenal

Both these sides will look to stop the losing runs they currently embark on, with Arsene Wenger probably the manager under the most pressure here, but we expect the Gunners to be able to get back to winning ways at the Hawthorns.

STAR MAN – Alexis SANCHEZ

This guy has been the only thing that Arsenal can shout about this season and he should add to his already impressive goal tally against Albion.

Burnley vs. Aston Villa

Burnley v Aston Villa

Despite still sitting in the relegation zone, Burnley have managed to pull out two wins on the spin whilst Villa still endure a topsy-turvy season, but with current form in mind, the home team should get all three points in the battle of claret and blue.

STAR MAN – Danny INGS

He scored for fun in the Championship last season and now Ings has three goals in four games, and this is an excellent opportunity for him to keep this up.

Liverpool vs. Stoke

Liverpool v Stoke

Liverpool have already lost six times this season, which is the same amount of games they lost in the whole of last season, whereas Stoke have been so inconsistent, including an away victory vs the champions and a home loss v Burnley. Liverpool should prove too strong for the Potters.

STAR MAN – Adam LALLANA

The England international is starting to find his feet at Anfield, and his assist last weekend was overshadowed by his team’s loss.

Manchester United vs. Hull

Manchester United v Hull City

The Red Devils are starting to play like a team, and Van Gaal may finally have taken United out of the period of transition following an impressive victory at the Emirates last weekend, and they should triumph at home vs Hull.

STAR MAN – Wayne ROONEY

To the delight of us Fantasy Football players, Rooney has brought his international form with him to the Premier League and cannot stop scoring right now.

QPR vs. Leicester

QPR v Leicester City

This is an encounter featuring two of the bottom three, so it is effectively a six-pointer with both sides desperate to get some points on the board. However, with the stakes so high, both teams will probably focus on not losing and play out a draw.

STAR MAN – Charlie AUSTIN

The only Queens Park Rangers player to score more than once this season, Austin is in a good spell at the moment, scoring in his last few home games.

Swansea vs. Crystal Palace

Swansea v Crystal Palace

Swansea are enjoying a fine season, especially considering they sold most of their experienced Premier League players in the summer, whilst Palace will still be thrilled with their victory over Liverpool. We feel Swans should take this one despite Palace’s impressive win in game week 12.

STAR MAN – Wilfried BONY

Bony is finding his boots from last season and did well to score at the Etihad last weekend, so he should bolster his tally against the Eagles.

West Ham vs. Newcastle

West Ham v Newcastle

Newcastle are on an unbelievable run involving five straight wins, something even Chelsea haven’t managed, whilst the Hammers have experienced a dip in form due to some injury problems so the Toon will probably edge this one.

STAR MAN – Moussa SISSOKO

Arguably their best player, he got off the mark last weekend with the winning goal and will be hungry for more. Although he may not be a regular shining star in FPL, he is definitely one to watch.

Sunderland vs. Chelsea

Sunderland v Chelsea

Sometimes there just isn’t much point to previewing games with Chelsea, and even though they are most definitely going to triumph in this encounter, it was actually Sunderland who ended Mourinho’s unbeaten home record last April.

STAR MAN – Diego COSTA

Does anything else need to be said? With the sheer talent that is provided in Costa’s path, he will almost certainly find the back of the net.

Southampton vs. Manchester City

Southampton v Man City

Who would have thought that come November this would be a top three clash? A shock may well be on the cards considering the Saints’ home record but Manchester City are set to power through their next run of games so a draw is probably likely.

STAR MAN – Yaya TOURE

The midfield maestro of Fantasy Football last season looks set to be returning to his best with a fantastic winning goal last weekend to kick start it.

Spurs vs. Everton

Tottenham v Everton

Both sides are playing in European competitions so the quality on show may not be great, but Spurs have been grinding out results out of nowhere, whilst Everton sit comfortably in mid-table so a draw is a likely finish to the match.

STAR MAN – Phil JAGIELKA

This guy knows how to find the back of the net with some great goals already this season, and a small pitch like White Hart Lane is a perfect opportunity for him.
