Differentials XI – Gameweek 17

Gameweek 17 is nearly upon us, and for the Differentials XI it was an exactly average week in gameweek 16 scoring 47 points. This is how the team looked:

Differentials

To kick this average week off, Green picked up 1 point, however Mignolet has been dropped ‘indefinitely’ so nothing could have been changed here. In front of him, all three of our defenders picked up 2 points each, but unfortunately Trippier was benched and picked up 7 points which is somewhat frustrating.

In the middle of the park, Barkley scored a stunning goal, courtesy of a deflection and brought home 9 points. Meanwhile Bolasie picked up an assist and 5 points, whilst Fer and Chamberlain score 3 points between them.

Finally, Harry Kane grabbed us a goal, and van Persie scored a goal and created one too! Unfortunately our captaincy choice turned out a poor one as Benteke scored just 2 points and was unable to find the back of the net – better luck next time Christian!

So the changes:

Robin van Persie (OUT) -> Olivier Giroud (IN)

This week we have been forced to remove Robin van Persie as his ownership has shot over 5%, thus we have brought in Olivier Giroud. Harry Kane’s ownership is also over 5%, so he will be benched this week and removed next week.

Differentials

Starting XI: Green (2.0%), Trippier (1.6%), Alderweireld (1.3%), Rangel (0.8%), Mertesacker (3.7%), Lallana (0.6%), Barkley (4.4%), Fer (0.8%), Bolasie (1.9%), Benteke (1.1%), Giroud (4.7%)

Bench: Mignolet (4.4%), Chamberlain (1.8%), Cissokho (4.1%), Kane (5.8%)

This week is going to be a tough one for the Differentials XI, so hopefully some of the players step up to the plate and perform well. Firstly, we start with Rob Green in goal, as he faces a West Brom side who are struggling to score at the moment, do us proud Rob! Just in-front of him, we start a back 4 being; Trippier, Alderweireld, Rangel and Mertesacker. Some tough fixtures here, as Burnley face Tottenham, Southampton face Everton and Arsenal face Liverpool (whether we can call that tough is debatable due to recent form but thanks to a strong mid-week Capital One cup performance, we may be wrong).

In the middle of the park we see some more players facing some tough fixtures, being Bolasie against Manchester United, Barkley against Southampton and Lallana against Arsenal. However, Leroy Fer does have a fixture in which QPR will be looking to get all three points, being against an out of sorts West Brom. For this reason we have also gambled and given him the captain’s armband! Don’t let us down Leroy!

Finally, we start Benteke and Giroud up top, both with (once again) tough fixtures against Manchester United and Liverpool respectively. Hopefully these lads will lace up their shooting boots and do us proud!
