Just the eight fixtures for this week’s instalment of the Fantasy Premier League, so let’s hope that all your squads have quality over quantity for gameweek 27!
West Ham v Crystal Palace
The Hammers have not won a game for a long while and this may be the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways and help cement their high table finish, whilst Pardew’s Palace will look to bounce back after a narrow defeat.
STAR MAN – Diafra SAKHO
Their top-scorer this season, Sakho found the back of the net at White Hart Lane with a fantastic strike from a tight angle.
Burnley v Swansea
Both of these sides surprisingly picked up points in their previous games so it may be a more intriguing contest than originally thought. Burnley need to get some wins at Turf Moor in the hope that they can stay up, and the Swans will want to continue their winning ways.
STAR MAN – Jonjo SHELVEY
A goal and an assist in his last outing, Shelvey has certainly put his case forward for a spot in your starting line-ups.
Manchester United v Sunderland
Following a very disappointing defeat to Swansea, United will want to bounce back and this may be the perfect fixture to do so, as Sunderland have won the joint-least amount of games in the league this season.
STAR MAN – Ander HERRERA
Arguably actually the signing of the summer for United, Herrera has slotted into the midfield nicely and provided his talent.
Newcastle v Aston Villa
This is an encounter between two teams who have been on the wrong end of a heartbreak, in which The Toon were embarrassing as they let in five against City, and Villa lost to a last minute penalty kick.
STAR MAN – Scott SINCLAIR
It is two goals in two games since the Englishman made his loan move to Villa Park, so we hope to see this continue.
Stoke City v Hull City
Stoke’s fantastic season in which they have nested themselves calmly in the top ten has gone widely unnoticed but they may struggle in this fixture as Hull City will be buoyed with their two wins on the spin.
STAR MAN – Dame N’DOYE
He was our Star Man for Hull last week and boy did he deliver, and looks set to continue his fantastic start to life in the Premier League.
West Brom v Southampton
The Saints have slowly drifted out of the top four but will need to pick up all three points at The Hawthorns if they want to bounce back into the Champions League positions, and need to stop the losing run.
STAR MAN – Joleon LESCOTT
Tony Pulis’ teams are very organised, and Southampton boast the best defence in the league, so it is hard to see any goals flying in.
Liverpool v Manchester City
The tie of the gameweek, it is a repeat of arguably one of the games of the season from the last campaign in which the top two went head to head at Anfield. It will be difficult to pick a winner as Liverpool are unbeaten in 2015 but City have nine goals in two games.
STAR MAN – Philippe COUTINHO
The Brazilian scored an absolute worldie in the win at Southampton and has been pivotal to Liverpool’s revival in recent weeks.
Arsenal v Everton
Arsene Wenger’s men now find themselves in third position and actually twelve points off the title winning spot, but Martinez will not be happy with the way his team performed against bottom of the league Leicester.
STAR MAN – Danny WELBECK
Although not lethal in front of goal, the £16million man has been assisting for fun recently for his team.
Dean.
