Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 3 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 2 saw the FPL differentials perform better than the most popular players once again and it’s left many facing a difficult choice whether to keep faith in the big hitters or whether to trade them in for cheaper players. What are you planning? Another big issue for managers is if they want to bring Aguero in and if so how do they go about it? Many seasoned Fantasy Premier League veterans of the game have planned it meticulously, have you got a plan?

Now onto the matter at hand – the captaincy analysis. Last week our picks performed quite well on the whole. They are broken down here:

1. Christian Benteke – 9 points

2. Wayne Rooney – 2 points

3. Alexis Sanchez – 5 points

Differential – Dimitri Payet – 9 points

Gamble – Sergio Aguero -6 points

So now we look forward to gameweek 3:

1. Sergio Aguero (EVE)

The city frontman took his place in the team at the Etihad and was presented with a host of first half chances. Although he managed to get himself a goal, he was denied several more by the reflexes of Asmir Begovic. Aguero looked sharp so I would expect him to be dangerous at Goodison on Sunday. Many are looking to bring the Argentine in so will be an obvious contender for your armband this week.

2. Eden Hazard (WBA)

The Belgian has had a poor start to the season which has left many losing faith in Hazard. However, Chelsea will be looking to get their first win of the season away to West Brom on Sunday and bearing in mind West Brom haven’t started the season well themselves, you can expect Chelsea & in particular Hazard to fire on Sunday and this is why you should consider Hazard, despite his poor start.

3. Dimitri Payet (BOU)

The new signing has hit the ground running at West Ham; scoring well in the first 2 gameweeks. The Frenchman has been West Ham’s main attacking outlet so you can rely on Payet to be a reliable source of points throughout the season. This week sees West Ham host Bournemouth on Saturday and given that The Cherries are yet to score a goal in the Premier League, Payet looks like a great option for your armband this week.

Differential – Andre Ayew (SUN)

Ayew just like Payet has hit the ground running in the Premier League scoring 2 goals in as many games and with a trip to struggling Sunderland on the cards, many managers are putting their faith in the Ghanaian to continue his excellent start to the season at The Stadium of light on Saturday.

Gamble – Wayne Rooney (NEW)

Many managers banked on Rooney to score highly and so far it has failed to happen and it has left many on the verge of transferring the United captain out of their team. However, he has a solid scoring record against Newcastle so it may be sensible to leave Rooney in your squad this week before chopping and changing your forward line.

As always thanks for reading and best of luck for this gameweek!
