FPL Updates FPL Premier Punt XI

In our back line, we mainly have Swansea representatives as they have a Saturday night fixture at home against Aston Villa. Our chosen representatives are Fabianski between the sticks and Welshman Williams. Villa just don’t have luck going their way at the moment and the missed opportunities against Spurs last week show that. Alongside these 2 in the back line we have the young Newcastle defender Lascelles who takes part in the Tyne-Wear derby on Sunday afternoon. Under Rafa Benitez, we expect huge focus to be on solidifying that leaky defence and with Newcastle losing the last 6 derbies in a row, this could turn out to be a lucky gamble if it comes off! Our final defender is Tottenham’s Wimmer who faces off against Bournemouth at White Hart Lane this weekend. He has been getting game time recently so he makes it into our XI.

We have a midfield 4 this week made up of players from 4 different teams, including our captain. Firstly we have the scintillating Mahrez who is up against an away trip to Crystal Palace. Next up we have Coutinho as he has a crunch game against Southampton in the fight for European football next season. After his sublime goal against Manchester United on Thursday evening, he must be buzzing! Our captain, Sigurdsson, is our third midfielder and we expect him to get something against bottom of the league Villa. Finally, we have gone with the impressive Payet. If this man can score a free kick of the quality he did against David De Gea in the FA cup, he is more than capable of upsetting Chelsea fans at the Bridge!

Up top we have joint top Premier League goalscorer this season Jamie Vardy. Palace are on a dreadful run of form and he will be looking to cash in. We have gambled and gifted a ST position to Arnautovic. Although he technically doesn’t play in the forward position for Stoke, anything good attacking wise coming from that team seems to go through him and with Watford on a patchy run of form, he may be a threat. Our final player is super Harry Kane. We expect him to bag a goal or 2 at home against Bournemouth.

Note: Team is subject to change. May the best FPL manager win!
