FPL Updates

So to kick things off we have gone with Everton and Liverpool coverage for our back 4. Robles and Jagielka are our two Toffee’s men, as they face off against Watford in the 3pm Saturday kick off. We have to wait until Sunday to see our two Liverpool counterparts feature, as Sakho and Skrtel face a West Brom side who are struggling for goals of late. Hopefully that’s 4 clean sheets banked this week!

In the middle of the park we have gone for 4 really attacking players that have been showing some great form of late. Firstly, we have Yannick Bolasie, who has been playing a little further forward recently and if Palace ever look like they will score, then its likely to be this man! We then have the Brazilian wizard in Philippe Coutinho who will face a Stoke side who are missing their number one goalkeeper, so hopefully he will find the back of the net in this game. Saido Mane is our penultimate midfielder, who has also been in and around the goals of late. A game against Newcastle may be tough, but there should be goals here. Our final midfielder is Big Kevin De Bruyne who has come back from injury with a bang and hopefully he continues this form into the game against West Brom too!

Finally, up top we have three of the best strikers this season; Romelu Lukaku, Jamie Vardy and Sergio Aguero, who play; Watford, Sunderland and West Brom respectively. Hopefully these lads can show us why they are 3 of the best in form strikers and pick up goals for our team this week!

Now onto FPL Avids and his team:

FPL Avids

In defence I’ve went for double Leicester and double Saints, being Fuchs, Simpson, Forster and Targett. Both have the struggling teams up North, being Sunderland and Newcastle, so surely they’ll be able to keep clean sheets here! It’s been well documented that 5 out of the last 6 Leicester’s games have been 1-0 to the Foxes, so hopefully this trend continues! Leicester City are performing like champions and I’m 100% sure they’ll go on to be crowned champions. I see another low scoring game on the cards, so perhaps it’ll be Riyad Mahrez bagging the single goal.

I’ve invested a lot of my funds this Mahcester City this week as they play West Brom, so hopefully it’ll be high scoring! The premium trio of Silva, De Bruyne and Aguero earn a place in my team. Hopefully they’ll be on a high after earning a 2-2 draw away to PSG midweek.

Another player that’s looking back to his best is Coutinho. At home to Stoke without Butland in goal and Shawcross marshalling the defence, I think he’ll score well again. Yannick Bolaise is a bit of a punt, but at home to Norwich I think it’s worth it.

Completing my team is Romelu Lukaku, despite Everton not having a double gameweek in Premier Punt’s format, away to a Watford side who are off the back of conceding 4 against Arsenal, this surely will mean goals for the big Belgian?

Note: Teams are subject to change. May the best FPL manager win!
