FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 27 – FPL Tips

Gameweek 26 was an average week with a small red arrow down to 378k. Benching 16 points really didn’t help. 5/11 players returned, but it was a captain blank that saw the side drop down the rankings.

The Liverpool duo kept yet another clean sheet, with Robertson scooping all 3 BPS. Sidibé was benched but came on in the 24th minute but still conceded. Lundstram scored on the bench and Soyuncu kept a rare clean sheet there too which was frustrating.

Captain Salah blanked after two 10+ scores on the bounce, so I can’t be too upset. His away form continues to be a bit of a worry. Grealish assisted but could’ve had so much more against Spurs with 2 big chances. He’s going nowhere even with a blank to come. Traore blanked once again after only managing to come off the bench against Leicester.

Ings ended his 3 game dry patch with a goal and bonus point against Burnley. Jimenez was extremely unlucky not to get on the scoresheet vs Leicester and I’m happy to have him for the long run. Vardy failed to score yet again, with minimal opportunities.

Transfers: Lundstram goes for teammate Stevens. Even with a blank in Gameweek 28, we’ve got enough players to bench him and I want a SHU defender.

The whole backline is at home this week. McCarthy faces Villa at home, Liverpool play West Ham and Stevens is against Brighton. On paper, points look promising.

Salah has a plum home game against West Ham and came off early against Atletico Madrid midweek. Grealish travels to Southampton, who’ve been hit and miss at the back. He’s in fine form at the moment, it’s just whether his teammates can help him. KDB travels to Leicester. Traore is at home to Norwich and should be back in the XI after recovering from his knock.

Ings plays Villa’s dodgy defence at St Mary’s and Jimenez is up against Norwich’s which isn’t much better. I’d be extremely disappointed if both come away with nothing. Vardy’s fixtures turn after this week, but he’s got the city defence to deal with this week. A lack of options and Everton’s upcoming schedule have put me off moving him on.

Captain: Salah. West Ham’s defensive record and Salah’s home form is too good to look past this week.
