Differentials XI – Gameweek 12 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

We played the Fantasy Premier League ‘All Out Attack’ chip, but it seems like our team forgot to attack, let alone going ‘all out’! 36 FPL points after we exhausted a chip (albeit the most useless out of the 3), is poor when the gameweek average was 56 points. However, the silver lining was that a huge chunk of those 36 points belonged to the ex-Barca youngster we brought in just before GW11…Deulofeu! He played just 64 minutes, but returned a goal and 2 assists and a bonus, hence bagging 13 points!

Differentials

Moving on to GW12, Southampton have been doing well at the back over the last couple of games. What’s surprising is, one defender has gone completely under the radar, possibly because of his £5.6M price tag. Virgil Van Dijk has played 7 games, scored 2 goals, got just 1 yellow card and has a total of 5 bonus points. The fact that he takes free kicks, and is an excellent header of the ball only adds to the gloss. His CBI’s (clearances, blocks & interceptions) have also been high. Now add to this that his ownership is a paltry 2.6% and he plays a poor Sunderland next.

Yes, Van Dijk makes it into our Differential XI this week, with an injured Souare making way.

Differentials

Starting XI: Stekelenburg (1.5%), Dawson (5.0%), Amavi (1.7%), van Dijk (%), Moses (0.4%), Lens (0.4%), Deulofeu (0.4%), Bolasie (3.8%), Shaqiri (1.0%), Ayoze (1.6%), Deeney (2.2%)

Bench: Gomes (5.8%), Lovren (1.1%), Reid (0.08%), Bony (6.2%)

Seems like a lot of managers brought Bony in against Norwich, which no longer makes him a differential (> 5%). So while the Ivorian drops to the bench, we will play a 3 man back line of Dawson, Amavi and Van Dijk, a 5 man midfield that we’re confident about, and a two pronged attack – Deeney & Ayoze.

Bournemouth have conceded 12 goals in their last 3 games, and I don’t see much changing when they face Newcastle United, who should have and probably would have put 5 past Stoke City if it wasn’t for Butland’s supernatural saves! With the newly promoted Bournemouth not being able to keep a clean sheet at all, Ayoze Perez gets the armband in our team this week!

So, that’s all for gameweek 12 folks. Hope you see green arrows come the weekend!
