Differentials XI – Gameweek 19

Gameweek 19 saw the Differentials XI perform relatively well scoring (considering recent performance of the team) a total of 43 points, which unfortunately was below average. Here is how the team looked:

Differentials

Firstly, our gamble of playing Mignolet partly paid off as he ended up coming on and keeping a clean sheet, however Rob Green went and saved an Alexis Sanchez penalty making it lost points on the bench. At the back we saw only one clean sheet, coming from Rangel and Swansea. However Alderweireld did manage to grab us a goal and a total of 9 points. Meanwhile Mertesacker and Cissokho only managed a total of 3 points between the two of them.

In the middle of the park we saw the usual… nothing. 8 points from 4 attacking players isn’t a good return. Here we are going to have to find some midfielders owned by less than 5% of managers who consistently bring in some points which may prove to be difficult!

Finally up top, Benteke didn’t manage anything but 2 points. However, new boy Falcao managed to grab an assist, making him a worthwhile captain and bringing in a total of 10 points.

So the changes:

Chamberlain (OUT) -> Nasri (IN)

As Giroud has been suspended, we haven’t subbed him out (his ownership is 7.7%) as we feel this may be wasted and he can sit as third sub. He also may drop back below 5%. With the Ox not getting consistent game time we have taken him out and replaced him with Samir Nasri.

Here is how we line up:

FPL Updates

Starting XI: Green (2.1%), Cissokho (4.0%), Rangel (0.7%), Mertesacker (3.7%), Fer (1.0%), Lallana (0.6%), Barkley (4.5%), Nasri (2.5%), Bolasie (2.0%), Benteke (1.3%), Falcao (2.4%)

Bench: Mignolet (4.0%), Alderweireld (1.3%), Trippier (1.7%), Giroud (7.6%)

This week we start Rob Green in goal against Crystal Palace at home, hopefully he can keep a clean sheet here. This week we play 3 at the back being; Mertesacker, Rangel and Cissokho. There are some tough fixtures this week for our defenders, hence we have benched both Alderweireld and Trippier who play Chelsea and Man City respectively.

We start with 5 in midfield this week, including the new boy Samir Nasri. It only felt right to welcome him into the team by giving him the armband and hopefully he can impress against Burnley at home. Alongside him we start Fer, Lallana, Barkley and Bolasie who all also have fixtures in which they could do well.

Finally we are unchanged up top, starting Benteke and Falcao.
