Under the Radar – Gameweek 19

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that your Boxing Day was full of fantasy football joy! However, there is little time to look back over the previous gameweek and delay our transfers over the course of the week as gameweek 19 is upon us already!

So with that in mind let’s begin.

BOJAN KRKIC, £5.0M, 4.0% TSB

The star man at the Potters struck again on Boxing Day against a very lack lustre Everton side; a penalty goal from the striker saw him bag up all 3 bonus points resulting in a 9 point haul – not bad. Stoke face an out of sorts West Brom side tomorrow and an in-form United on New Year’s Day, in theory one good fixture and one that is not so good. However Stoke’s form at home this year has been exceptional and United’s away form has been, well, below par. Bojan may be a victim of the rotation system; however it is highly likely that he’ll grab a goal or two over the coming days. A risk that could be worth taking as the forward has been Stoke City’s star man this year.

LEROY FER, £5.5M, 1.0% TSB

At home this season QPR have been flying and although Charlie Austin is there main man, a real under the radar pick is Dutch midfielder Leroy Fer. Having been rested against Arsenal only to appear as a sub, it is almost certain that Fer will start against a poor Palace side. With the sacking of Neil Warnock having recently been announced the club [Palace] is also likely to be in a state of dismay and despair, leading to what will be, in my opinion, a goal rout for QPR. Fer’s home involvement has been very good this season, and so far he has grabbed 2 goals and also 3 assists. A bit of a punt yes, however he could really pay off, not just for gameweek 19 but in the long run as well.

Thanks again for reading this gameweek’s edition, good luck for gameweek 19 and see you in a few days.
