FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 16

Gameweek 16 saw the FPL Updates XI bring home a massive 54 points, and saw the team climb to just outside the top 25,000 managers. Here is how the team looked:

FPL Updates XI gameweek 15 Points

So Green brought home a massive 7 points after a cracking performance against Burnley. In front of them, our defence had a stormer of a week, with Clyne the only one letting us down with a single point. However Hutton and Wisdom brought in 14 points between them, with Wisdom keeping a clean sheet and Hutton scoring a goal!

Downing grabbed an assist and 2 bonus points, whilst Sigurdsson scored 2 and Fabregas scored 6 points after he matached Downing’s performance, but he got a crucial booking which results in him being ruled out for this gameweek. Then there was our captain who everyone laughed at before the gameweek… By then end of it, we were left laughing as Costa blanked and Aguero went off injured – 10 points in the bag.

Up top we didnt do so well as Rooney only grabbed an assist, Kane got 2 points for playing and as we said Aguero went off injured so only scored a single point.

Down to the business, the changes:

Costa (IN) -> Aguero (OUT)

Hazard (IN) -> Fabregas (OUT)

So with both players out for the next gameweek, we took the chance to upgrade Fabregas to Hazard and also bring in Costa for the injured Aguero.

Here’s how the team lines up:

So once again this week we start with Green in goal as we still haven’t got rid of Tim Krul, we may have to do this in the upcoming weeks. In defence we start; Clyne, Hutton and Wisdom who all have fixtures in which they could keep clean sheets, or more importantly goals or assists!

In midfield we start; Downing, Sanchez, Sigurdsson & Hazard who face; Sunderland, Newcastle, Tottenham and Hull respectively.  All are fixtures in which they could score goals and bring in some big points, don’t let us down lads…

Finally up top, we start Rooney, Kane and Costa. Rooney faces Liverpool at home, which could be entertaining with the way Liverpool have been leaking goals of late.

This week we have chosen to give the captaincy to Costa as he and Chelsea play an out of sorts Hull City. Costa will surely be on the end of anything good for Chelsea with the midfield he has behind him so we are backing him to bring home the points!
