FPL Updates XI – Gameweek 17

FPL Updates XI SMASHED it in gameweek 16 scoring 70 points! Gameweek 17 is fast approaching and we are hoping for a similar performance from the boys, after we saw a rise up the ranks to just outside 20k, and it would be great to get into that top 10,000. Here is how the team looked:

FPL Updates

Firstly, we can see that Rob Green only picked up 1 point after he let 3 goals in against Everton. However, Krul is still injured, so nothing could have been gained here. At the back, we saw a superb performance from Andre Wisdom bringing home a massive 9 points! Alongside him however, we saw 3 points from Clyne and Hutton combined. Hutton also picked up a yellow card, meaning that he is suspended for gameweek 17.

In midfield we saw some brilliant performances from Downing, Sanchez and Hazard all scoring over 9 points! Meanwhile Sigurdsson had a quiet week, scoring just 2 points. Hopefully these boys can keep up their points scoring!

Finally, all of our strikers scored a goal, but unfortunately two of them also got booked! Our captain, Costa, scored 5 points, bringing home 10 points, whilst Kane and Rooney scored 8 points and 5 points respectively.

The changes:

Clyne (OUT) -> Clichy (IN)

So despite being the highest point scorer defender to date this season, this week we removed Clyne as his fixtures aren’t the best, meaning that Clichy comes in with a favourable run of fixtures.

Here is how we line up:

FPL Updates XI gameweek 17

So once again this week we start Rob in goal as Krul is still injured, however QPR have a good fixture against West Brom at home. In defence we start Wisdom, Taylor and new signing Clichy who all have fixtures in which they could keep clean sheets, and possibly pick up a cheeky goal or assist.

In midfield we start; Downing, Sanchez, Sigurdsson and Hazard. Arguably the only player which has a tough fixture is Sanchez against Liverpool, but in the form that they are in, he could run riot! The other three have winnable fixtures, and more importantly fixtures in which they could grab a goal.

Finally up top we start Rooney, Kane and Costa. All are in goal scoring form, and hopefully this will continue. We have chosen to captain Rooney this week, as he does like a goal against Aston Villa, scoring 2 in United’s last game against them.
