Gameweek 12 Preview

With Ebola arguably being the only thing worse than the international break for us Fantasy Premier League players, we are finally able to immerse ourselves into the realms of game-week 12 so here is the gameweek 12 preview!

gameweek 12 preview

Chelsea vs West Brom

There really is no stopping Chelsea and they look to continue their unbeaten record going into a game against a West Bromwich Albion side who were only fifty seconds from winning at Stamford Bridge last season. Saying that, a home win is very much expected though.

STAR MAN – Emboaba OSCAR

The man who Mourinho was said to have built his team around, this Brazilian has been popping up with rather a few goals recently, with some of them being absolute stunners too!

gameweek 12 preview

Everton vs West Ham

Everton have had a topsy-turvy start to the season whilst trying to balance their pretty solid Europa League campaign, whilst West Ham sit comfortably in the top 4. A hard one to call, a draw is most probably the likely outcome of this one.

STAR MAN – Leighton BAINES

This guy is a Fantasy Football machine. When he’s not keeping a clean sheet he’s assisting down the left-hand side, and when he’s not doing that he’s knocking penalties into the back of the net.

gameweek 12 preview

Leicester vs Sunderland

Despite enjoying a fantastic start to their return to the Premier League, Leicester City now find themselves in the relegation zone, whilst Sunderland are trying to turn their season around since their 8-0 drubbing to Southampton. A draw is once again is a probable result.

STAR MAN – Riyad MAHREZ

In his last home start, Mahrez got a goal and an assist and whilst on international duty recently he bagged a goal and two assists in one game so it is perhaps worth taking a punt on this lad.

gameweek 12 preview

Man City v Swansea

The champions have been extremely inconsistent with their results so far and we just never seem to know what performance we are going to get from them. Manchester City should be winning this game comfortably, however Swansea could spring a surprise.

STAR MAN – Sergio AGUERO

Dare I say it, one man team? This player has been scoring for fun for the blue half of Manchester and he will look to continue this fine form.

gameweek 12 preview

Newcastle vs QPR

The Toon Army were looking dead and buried but suddenly Alan Pardew seems to have turned things around as Newcastle now close in on the top four. It looks like it’ll be too much of a task ahead for QPR who are currently struggling with their away form.

STAR MAN – Ayoze PEREZ

Scoring in consecutive games now, whether he starts or comes off the bench, Perez has an eye for the target that shouldn’t go unnoticed.

gameweek 12 preview

Stoke City vs Burnley

Stoke have astutely got themselves into the top ten following an impressive win at White Hart Lane, whereas as Burnley will find it difficult to get any points here as they celebrate their first win of the season.

STAR MAN – Victor MOSES

His pace and agility has been key for Stoke this season, crossing balls into the box and winning penalties (no matter how controversial they may be…).

gameweek 12 preview

Arsenal vs Man United

Quite clearly the tie of the weekend. There was only one goal in this fixture combined last season and Arsenal have struggled for victories this season, whilst the Manchester United’s transition period seems to eternally go on.

STAR MAN – Robin VAN PERSIE

It’s just got to be him, surely! RVP has been a bit on and off this season but he scored for the Dutch during the international break as well as scoring versus his old club last season.

gameweek 12 preview

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool

It has been poor start for Neil Warnock’s return to Premier League management with the Eagles hovering above the bottom three, but it has not been great for Liverpool either with them already accumulating five losses. However, they should be able to win here.

STAR MAN – Raheem STERLING

Despite not playing up to his high standards recently, Sterling remains Liverpool’s top scorer this season, and he should refind his form against a leaky defence.

gameweek 12 preview

Hull City vs Tottenham

These are both teams who started off rather well but are struggling to get three points from anywhere at the moment. Spurs look rattled with players speaking out about the atmosphere and Hull have not won in eight.

STAR MAN – Nacer CHADLI

A rather impressive start to the season for Nacer Chadli, with him getting six goals off the wing that have gone unnoticed in eleven games.

gameweek 12 preview

Aston Villa vs Southampton

Aston Villa finally managed to stop the rot of consecutive losses but have only scored one goal in their last seven games, and there just seems to be no stopping Southampton as the Saints go marching on and they should go marching to victory in this fixture.

STAR MAN – Victor WANYAMA

He has been scoring some exceptional long-rangers from the middle of the park, and he will be fresh as he was not used in the international break.

Dean.
