So another gameweek has passed, and we are now staring gameweek 32 between the eyes! Here is the preview along with the star men picks:
Swansea v Everton
This is an encounter that perhaps won’t be one to be remembered as a spectacle as it puts together two sides who are fighting for a position in mid-table, but both will still want to finish the season strongly.
STAR MAN – Ross BARKLEY
The young English talent has been utilised wonderfully of late playing in the number ten role, and the Toffees have won three on the spin.
Southampton v Hull City
After both the Saints and Hull City suffered defeats in the previous gameweek, they will want to bounce back with the former still pushing for a place in Europe, whilst Steve Bruce needs points to keep his side safe.
STAR MAN – Graziano PELLE
A goal on international duty vs England, and an outstanding save denied him last time out, Pelle should perform well here.
Tottenham v Aston Villa
The home side here have seen their hopes of finishing in the top-four falter away slightly but the boys in white will be well aware that Tim Sherwood will be sitting in the opposition dugout so this may be a feisty affair.
STAR MAN – Eric DIER
A welcomed bolstering to the backline, we know from the early days of the fantasy Premier League season that Dier is also a goal threat.
Sunderland v Crystal Palace
The Eagles are absolutely flying at the minute, and will be well in the clouds after beating the champions on home turf. The hosts however will also be buoyed by their derby day win over their rivals.
STAR MAN – Jermaine DEFOE
The missing piece to the Sunderland jigsaw, Defoe is capable of absolute worldies as we saw last weekend.
West Brom v Leicester City
This is a fixture where both teams will be fighting for the three points in an attempt to stay in the top division for another season. West Brom were embarrassing at home to QPR where they conceded four goals so anything could happen.
STAR MAN – Saido BERAHINO
The Baggies still got a goal in their loss which Berahino assisted so this guy is capable of getting the ball into dangerous areas an potentially, the back of the net.
West Ham v Stoke City
The Hammers will be wound up after losing to bottom of the table Leicester and if they want to achieve their aim of an eighth placed finish then they will need to be on the top of their game against Mark Hughes’ men.
STAR MAN – Cheikhou KOUYATE
He can play in defence or in the midfield but wherever he is positioned; he can score goals from nothing.
Burnley v Arsenal
With the Gunners winning seven in a row, it is extremely difficult to foresee Burnley getting anything out of this game. However, they did hold Tottenham to a draw at Turf Moor last time out so we may have a surprise on our hands.
STAR MAN – Alexis SANCHEZ
The Chilean mastermind is back to his best and he scored a fantastic goal against Liverpool to show this.
QPR v Chelsea
Four points from their last two games is a positive step forward for Queens Park Rangers but Mourinho looks rampant in terms of getting his first title during his second stint with Chelsea so an away win is almost inevitable.
STAR MAN – Loic REMY
With the injury to Diego Costa, the Frenchman will have to step up to the plate against a side he spent a year at.
Manchester United v Manchester City
The game of the weekend sees the Manchester derby in full swing, which could have massive implications on the race for Champions League football. To the shock of many, the Red Devils currently sit above Pellegrini’s side.
STAR MAN – Ander HERRERA
The Spaniard is playing some fantastic stuff from midfield and his goals have pushed United up into the top three.
Liverpool v Newcastle
This game has so much history to it, including it being the biggest goal fest of any fixture in the Premier League so it should be a good one. The Toon are already playing like their season has ended so the Reds should be comfortable.
STAR MAN – Raheem STERLING
He’s been making the headlines a lot but that takes nothing away from his footballing ability.
