Gameweek 34 Captaincy Analysis

Gameweek 33 is well and truely over and we hope you have come out of it well and are looking forward to gameweek 34. Gameweek 33 did see quite a few blanks, which must have been a problem! Here is how last week’s picks did:

1. Sergio Aguero – 6 points

2. Harry Kane – 6 points

3. Eden Hazard – 11 points

Differential – Yannick Bolasie – 1 point

Gamble – Graziano Pelle – 2 points

Let’s crack on with the captaincy selections!

1. Eden Hazard (ARS & LEI)

Need I say more about Eden Hazard? No matter who he plays, Hazard never seems to be a popular captain choice, which is brilliant as the less who captain him, the more you rise in rank! He’s been in fantastic form, and with a double gameweek, surely he must continue this run!

2. Raheem Sterling (WBA & HUL)

Raheem is in decent form at the moment, with 13 points in his last two gameweeks but he failed to shine against Aston Villa this week. However, he does have a double gameweek coming up, so maybe with two chances to shine, he could perform well!

3. Sergio Aguero (AVL)

Aguero is just starting to get back on the scoresheet now, with 18 points in two weeks, making him a very popular captain choice. To keep your rank I’d say don’t risk it and go the safe option with Aguero, who is in fantastic form!

Differential – Jamie Vardy (BUR & CHE)

Vardy would be a massive differential, as he does have a double gameweek, and is in decent form. With 24 points in three weeks and owned by 3.2% of FPL managers, if he played well, you could rise right up those rankings!

Gamble – Olivier Giroud (CHE)

Arsenal do take on Chelsea this week and haven’t got a very good record against Chelsea which is why Giroud is a gamble, however he has been absolutely incredible the last few weeks with one blank in six weeks! Can Giroud bag a goal against Chelsea? He is a gamble, but he who dares…
