To kick things off we have gone back to our usual tactic of banking on two clean sheets, and have still doubled up with Tottenham and Everton defences! Lloris is our man between the sticks for us this week, with his team mate, Walker also in defence. Our two other defenders are Stones and Baines.

In the middle we have 4 players who do have the potential to score some big points. First off is the ever reliable Riyad Mahrez, need we say more? Next up we have Zaha in the middle of the park, as he has looked really good of late and could score big against Bournemouth. Our penultimate midfielder is Alli, who has shown some brilliant form this season. Finally we have the big Kevin De Bruyne who faces off against a leaky Sunderland defence.

Finally, up top we start a front three of Lukaku, Vardy and Aguero. Hopefully all three keep up their good form and score us some big points…

Now onto FPL Avids and his team:

So last weekend continued a familiar trend this season with the so-called ‘underdogs’ coming up trumps again.

3 fixtures stand out to me: Chelsea v Watford, Manchester City v Sunderland and Tottenham v Norwich. Although the Chelsea game won’t be easy, I believe that Hiddink will be out to prove a point against Watford. Watford themselves, despite just being promoted, will be aiming for a top-half finish after an impressive start. Chelsea will look for a 1-0 or 2-0 at most. This is the reason for the triple defence, with; Zouma, Azpilicueta and Courtois. It’ll either work or fail dramatically.

Man City v Sunderland should be a little more straight forward. The midfield maestro’s De Bruyne and Silva will be in on the action while fresh back from injury Zabaleta could possibly pick up a clean sheet.

Eriksen provides coverage in the Norwich game. I would have preferred Kane but with the expensive defence I just couldn’t afford it.

Mahrez is Mahrez, need I say more? Ayew against West Brom, who don’t look like the same team of old when it comes to performances.

Up top I’ve gone for the budget picks of Ighalo, who will be the one to score if my Chelsea defensive plan fails, and Mitrovic as a cut-throat price option that will get 2 points… or more likely get sent off.

Note: Both teams are subject to change. May the best FPL manager win!
