Differentials XI – Gameweek 18 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

It seems like the team is stuck in a cycle. Every green arrow is followed by a red FPL arrow and vice versa! Gameweek 17 was abysmal, as 9 of our starting 11 blanked. Deeney got an assist and luckily, the player we transferred in before the start of the fantasy premier league gameweek, Hugo Lloris, returned 9 points (which included 2 bonus points). Time to look forward to a green arrow in gameweek 18 then!

Here’s how the team performed:

Differentials

Picking defenders has been tricky this year, with only a handful of teams keeping clean sheets. However, factoring in form and fixtures makes me pick Crystal Palace’s captain, Delaney. He has been getting the regular assist and also gets awarded bonus points! At 4.4 m and an ownership of 1.9%, it is quite a no-brainer. His next 3 fixtures are: Bournemouth, Swansea and Chelsea – teams that are not scoring all that much. I also wanted to ensure we have a good bench going into the Boxing Day fixtures, as unexpected players are inadvertently benched/rested. So that leaves our differentials team with just 1 injured player – Dejan Lovren. Our bench this week will be Gomes, Firmino, Van Dijk and Lovren.

Differentials

Starting XI: Lloris (6.4%), Dawson (5.1%), Delaney (1.9%), Coleman (9.1%), Ramsey (4.6%), Deulofeu (3.9%), Bolasie (6.2%), Silva (6.1%), Ayoze (1.2%), Deeney (3.9%), Costa (5.5%)

Bench: Gomes (7.3%), Firmino (1.6%), van Dijk (3.2%), Lovren (0.9%)

A lot of our players have decent fixtures this gameweek, and I was quite torn between captaining Bolasie (Bournemouth) and Silva (Sunderland). However, looking at how Chelsea blitzed Sunderland in the 1st half in their last game, and with Aguero returning, I have decided to hand the armband to David Silva!

Do you have a decent bench to cover up if a couple of your players are rested in this packed festive period? If not, we suggest you get rid of the deadwood from your teams as soon as possible! Here’s hoping that we all have a “Silva” lining to gameweek 18.
