Challenge the Pro’s – Gameweek 9 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Last gameweek we teamed up with Premier Punt and had a £5 entry £300.00 guaranteed prize Challenge the Pro’s league. The FPL Updates team didn’t have Aguero as captain, so we were doomed straight away! However, FPL Avids on the other hand cashed out with £30! This week we have once again teamed up with the Premier Punt team, with this week’s league being a free entry, £50.00 pot! So, if you think you can beat us, why not come and challenge us?

In order to join the league, you need to follow some simple steps:

  1. Log-in or register on the Premier Punt website
  2. Once logged in, choose “Barclays Premier League – Game Week 9”
  3. Pick the team you think will beat us…
  4. Join the challenge “Challenge the Pro’s £50 FREE entry”

So, without further ado, here is the FPL Updates team:

Updates

This week we have stuck with the usual formation, and have gone with 2 teams to cover our back 4. Firstly, we have Dawson and Myhill, who face the out of form Sunderland. Our second duo consist of Pieters and Wollscheid, who take a trip to Wales and face Swansea in the Monday night football!

In the middle of the park we have 4 very attacking players. Firstly we have Redmond who has started very impressively this season. We then have De Bruyne, who scored a beauty against Newcastle, same again please Kev! Then finally we have Mane and Bolaise who both did well last weekend against the likes of Chelsea and West Brom.

Finally, up top we have a trio of Vardy, Berahino and Aguero. We couldn’t miss out on the Agentine this weekend, and he even gets the armband!

Now over to FPL Avids and his team:

Avids

Three weeks in a row I’ve cashed in! Check out my recent winnings:

Avids

My back line is made up of 2 teams so I’m banking on them to score easy clean sheets. Myhill & Dawson of West Brom against a struggling Sunderland without a win or a manager should be a safe bet. Accompanying them is Otamendi and Zabaleta of Man City against Bournemouth. I’m hoping they replicate their early season form, completing the game without conceding a goal.

In midfield I’ve gone with players who have all performed well so far this season; Willian who has been the stand out man in a faltering Chelsea side, Ozil who has been showing glimpses of his Real Madrid self, Cabaye at home to high flying West Ham (I can see an ‘upset’ here. Palace will finish in Europe. You heard it here first.), Sadio Mane at home to Leicester (It was a toss up between him or Pelle for Saints coverage but Sadio just edged it for me.) and captaining my side this week is Kevin De Bruyne. I simply couldn’t afford Aguero without comprising my midfield this week despite his 5 goals which earned me £40 at the weekend.

Up top I’ve gone for free scoring Ighalo. I think Arsenal are leaky at the back, as seen in Europe. Completing my team is yellow card magnet Mitrovic. He’s starting to show promise. Perhaps a Costa-like character?

Note: Both teams are subject to change. May the best FPL manager win!
