Well, it feels like a long time since I’ve done this, and even longer since I’ve won some money. Clearly the pressure of supposedly being “good” at this is getting to me. But this week, I win…………..I hope.

So we are going with Adrian in goal because with a home game against Palace, I imagine that West Ham will be just too much for the Crystal Palace team. And what you will notice is my team is mainly made of three teams, who I believe all have the most favourable fixtures. Joining Adrian in defence is Hector Bellerin because everyone is picking him, Cesar Azpilicueta because ASTON VILLA! And finally we have Danny Simpson. A Leicester defender at that price is just too perfect an opportunity to enable you to pick more expensive players elsewhere.

As for the midfield, we have more Chelsea and West Ham. Willian, Payet and Antonio all make the cut because I think they will all potentially get on the scoresheet. Closer to the actual fixtures I can see myself taking out one of Payet and Antonio though, just cause I like to spread my bets generally and I don’t like the possibility of a bad result messing up my chances. Joining them is Wijnaldum, who I think Benitez could get the best out of, and he has goal scoring and assist potential at a decent price.

Finally, we have the front three, and more Arsenal and Chelsea as we go with Welbeck who has looked good since coming back from injury and Costa from Chelsea because they are playing this team called ASTON VILLA! Finishing the line up is Aguero, purely cause I feel it’s just a matter of time before he gets another big score.

Anyway guys, best of luck this gameweek and I’ll see you all next week.

Now onto FPL Avids and his team:

Avids

In the net I’ve gone for a man that’s benefitting from Petr Cech’s absence; David Ospina. I actually rate this guy and he has close to a 50% clean sheet ratio in the PL. This means that I’ve taken the risky approach of tripling up on the Arsenal defence.

Another triple up I’ve gone for is West Ham. They’ll be looking to finish off the final season at Upton park strongly and at home to Palace I can see another win. Cresswell is a great attacking full back who will have benefitted from 2 weeks off even though he should have been in the England squad. Payet and Lanzini are West Ham’s main attacking threats going forward.

Siggy’s in my team due to form. He might have a tricky fixture away to Stoke (although Butland will be missing due to a fractured ankle picked up on England duty). In the basement battle Norwich v Newcastle, there has to be goals. Hoolahan and Wijnaldum; get in the van!

Aguero’s got Bournemouth away while Sunderland have a West Brom team at home. If Sunderland are going to stay up it’ll be due to Defoe so that’s the reason for that pick and Aguero’s Aguero so need I say more against a newly promoted side? In fairness, if Leicester weren’t where they are, Eddie Howe would’ve been in with a serious shout of manager of the season. Quality job.

Note: Teams are subject to change. May the best FPL manager win!
