In between the sticks we have put Petr Cech, as we fancy Arsenal to keep a clean sheet as they face Olympiakos at the Emirates this week. To start off the defence we also have Cech’s team mate Monreal. We have also banked on Bayern Munich keeping a clean sheet as they are also in group F, but they face Dinamo Zagreb. Boateng and Bernat are our representatives from Bayern.

In the middle of the park we have gone with a middle four of; Mendes, Hernanes, Verratti and Witsel. Some really good attacking potential and reasonable games (on paper), so we are hoping to pick up some points here!

Up top we start off with Manchester United’s Martial, mainly due to his cheap price of 6.3m and his good form. We then have two players we just couldn’t consider leaving out! Firstly we have Lewandowski who has been scoring for fun recently, with 5 in the space of 10 minutes last week! We then have Ronaldo, who is also our captain as he and Real Madrid face Malmo FF this week.

Now onto FPL Avids’ line-up:

In goal I’ve gone for Trapp. He’s cheap & PSG haven’t lost in their last 5 so he offers good value. A double Bayern defence, Boateng and Bernat, at home to Dinamo, need I say more? Pique completes my defence as he has a home fixture against Bayern Leverkusen, easy win expected, even without a certain Messiah. – If anything, the loss of Messi might tighten up their defence a little?

In midfield I’ve gone for more obsecure picks. Mo Salah has done well since leaving the Prem so I’ll give him a shot. Verrati as PSG have the form behind them. Witsel due to his hair. And Pereira due to the fact he’s all that I could afford after the 2 big boys up top which you’ll hear now!

Speaking of up top; Big Ron obviously gets a start, literally just because of his name. Lewandowski gets in due to his 5 goals in 9 minutes, insane stuff. Martial, despite his tricky fixture has the form and he’s cheap!
