Gameweek 30 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Gameweek 30 see’s just the 5 fixtures as the FA Cup continues for some of the Premier League teams. With just the 5 Fantasy Premier League games, it is crucial you pick and plan your FPL transfers and bring in the right players. So without further ado, here is our gameweek 30 preview and star men tips:

Norwich vs Manchester City

A struggling Norwich side host Manchester City this weekend and with both teams at different ends of the league, this is likely to only end one way. Norwich would take anything from this game as they currently sit in 18th, 1 point away from safety, but if they do take anything, it will be points dropped for Manchester City who will be keen to jump back on the title chase.

Star Man – Sergio Aguero (13.6m)

At 13.6m you expect goals and this is what Aguero gives you. Granted he missed a penalty last week, but he scored two goals and we expect more this week!

Prediction – Norwich 0-4 Manchester City

Bournemouth vs Swansea

With Bounemouth sitting in 14th and Swansea sitting in 16th, this could be seen as one of the first six pointers in the relegation scrap. A draw doesn’t really suit either team and it could end up being quite a cagey affair, with both teams not wanting to lose points in such a crucial game.

Star Man – Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.2m)

Sigurdsson is starting to show some of the form that he showed last season and will be crucial to the Swans survival quest this season.

Prediction – Bournemouth 0-1 Swansea

Stoke vs Southampton

Stoke and Southampton have had very similar seasons, with them sitting in 8th and 9th respectively. Southampton would have been favoured to be a bit higher in the table, but have struggled to find the back of the net which may happen again this weekend with a fixture against a defensively strong Stoke team. With that being said, Stoke have been missing Shawcross of late which could see them concede.

Star Man – Jack Butland (5.3m)

The English shot stopper has shown some brilliant form this season and has put some pressure on the England number 1 spot.

Prediction – Stoke 1-0 Southampton

Aston Villa vs Tottenham

Villa have quite frankly been awful this season and with them sitting bottom of the table their fate seems sealed. However it was around about this time last season when Leicester City were sitting bottom and started their surge to safety! So, you never know, Villa may be sitting top this time next year… unlikely I know! Spurs on the other hand have had a brilliant season so far and will look to continue this with nothing else but a win over Aston Villa.

Star Man – Harry Kane (10.1m)

The England striker scored a brilliant goal in the North London Derby and looks to find the net as often as possible.

Prediction – Aston Villa 0-2 Tottenham

Leicester vs Newcastle

Sitting pretty at the top, with 5 points in hand. At the time of playing this it could and should be down to a 2 point lead, but I wouldn’t bet against Leicester City bringing it back to 5 points as they face Newcastle in the Monday Night Football fixture. Newcastle on the other hand do have a habit of turning up to the big games and when the TV cameras are about, so they could make it difficult for the Foxes.

Star Man – Jamie Vardy (7.8m)

Vardy hasn’t found the back of the net recently as much as he did in the past. With a home game against Newcastle, the Vardy party might just be on for Monday night!

Prediction – Leicester City 2-1 Newcastle
