Captaincy Analysis – Gameweek 30 FPL Tips – Fantasy Premier League Tips

Welcome to our Fantasy Premier League captaincy article for the upcoming gameweek 30. Due to the FA Cup games we have a reduced fixture list in the Premier League with only 10 teams playing, however as always we will examine the best options for your captaincy.

Before we do, let’s take a look at how last week’s picks did:

1. Sergio Aguero – 11 points

2. Diego Costa – 0 points

3. Jamie Vardy – 2 points

Differential – Matt Ritchie – 6 points

Gamble – Mesut Ozil – 2 points

Now onto this week’s picks:

1. Sergio Aguero (NOR)

The City striker is in fine form at the moment and looks to be in a good place to continue his scoring run. Norwich are struggling and look very weak defensively which means City could run riot at Carrow Road. A safe option who could return a large total but as many players will captain him, he is far from a differential.

2. Riyad Mahrez (NEW)

The Algerian has been arguably the best player in the league this season and Leicester are on course to do the impossible and win the Premier League. Mahrez has been a very consistent performer so is a dependable captain. His side host Newcastle on Monday night and given the fragility of the Magpies defensive line you’d imagine there will be goals for Leicester. A safe but popular choice.

3. Harry Kane (AVL)

Harry Kane was back amongst the goals in the North London derby last week which will give him confidence after a rocky patch. Spurs face a Villa side who are hurtling towards the Championship. If Villa keep the score down it will be considered a good result. Kane will probably get chances on Sunday and given the fact Villa are conceding so many goals, the England international may well run riot which means you have to consider him for your armband.

Differential – Gylfi Sigurdsson (BOU)

The Swansea player has done well lately which has meant many managers are now bringing him into their sides. Bournemouth are doing well but look like conceding a goal so Swansea may well continue their good form on the south coast. A risk but due to his low ownership a good option.

Gamble – Marko Arnoutvic (SOU)

Arnautovic is in good form lately and may well bring in a decent points score this week. Southampton are a good side but when Stoke’s attacking line-up is in form few teams can stop them. Given that many of the main options are in FA Cup action, the Stoke midfielder should be considered.

Thanks for reading and good luck
