Gameweek 35 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

So from a hectic FPL double gameweek to a trimmed down FPL gameweek we go as gameweek 35 only sees 7 Premier League ties played thanks to FA Cup fixture scheduling. Here is our preview of each fixture with star men picks for each:

MCISTK

Manchester City vs Stoke

The Citizens simply can’t stop scoring and they should run out as easy winners but with their Champions League date with Real Madrid only 3 days later, we could see some big guns being rested & this might just give Stoke a chance to salvage something from their trip to the Etihad. Expect it to be a game with both sides getting a decent amount of opportunities to bag the 3 points.

STAR MAN – Sergio Aguero (13.5m)

The little Argentine scored a combined tally of 4 goals in the 2 games in GW34 and has the ability to single handedly fire his team home with a win.

PREDICTION – Manchester City 2-1 Stoke City

AVLSOU

Aston Villa vs Southampton

The “weight is off the shoulders” & Aston Villa’s fate has been sealed as they are now rolling down to the Championship after 28 years in the English top flight. Southampton on the other hand are still pushing for a spot in the Europa League & the Saints’ trip to Villa Park seems to be a pretty easy one for Koeman’s men.

STAR MAN – Graziano Pelle (8.0m)

The Italian striker has found some end of season form and will be poised to strike a few killer blows against the low in confidence Villans.

PREDICTION – Aston Villa 0-3 Southampton

BOUCHE

Bournemouth vs Chelsea

Chelsea were left completely ransacked by the brilliance of Sergio Aguero at Stamford Bridge last week & will want to prove a point as they travel south to the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth are on the back of an away loss at Anfield but have nothing to lose as they have already confirmed their survival for the forthcoming season.

STAR MAN – Willian (6.9m)

He has undoubtedly been Chelsea’s star man this season & his tireless running down the flanks could be a menace for the Cherries defence.

PREDICTION – Bournemouth 1-3 Chelsea

LIVNEW

Liverpool vs Newcastle United

Klopp’s priorities surely have to lie with lifting the Europa league trophy this season & he is rotating his side left right and centre, giving the youngsters a chance to shine. Newcastle on the other hand are still fighting for survival and Benitez will return to Anfield with the desire to take something back home against his former club.

STAR MAN – Roberto Firmino (8.1m)

The Brazilian has been involved in 12 goals in his last 11 PL appearances and will be looking forward to takeing advantage of the makeshift Magpies defence.

PREDICTION – Liverpool 2-2 Newcastle United

SUNARS

Sunderland vs Arsenal

The Gunners haven’t been at their very best recently, picking up just 9 points from the last 7 games. Sunderland on the other hand are starting to show some promise & they will make it really tough for Arsenal to break them down but with the fire-power that the Gunners possess, it might just be a formality for them to earn the three points.

STAR MAN – Alexis Sanchez (11.0m)

The little Chilean seems to have discovered last season’s form and will look to continue his hot streak away at Sunderland.

PREDICTION – Sunderland 0-2 Arsenal

LEISWA

Leicester City vs Swansea City

Leicester need to get their title charge back on track after dropping 2 points at home against the Hammers while the Swans will look to bounce back after a 3-0 hammering from the Magpies. With the Swans looking to end their season on a high, they will definitely put up a strong fight.

STAR MAN – Riyad Mahrez (7.3m)

Leicester’s star man has been quiet for quite some time now, but with Vardy out suspended, Ranieri will look to him to fire the Foxes home.

PREDICTION – Leicester City 1-0 Swansea City

TOTWBA

Tottenham vs West Brom

Spurs are undoubtedly the most in-form team in the league at the moment and proved it the other night at Stoke. They will continue to push for their chance at lifting the PL trophy and should run out as comfortable winners against the Baggies who haven’t been at their best recently.

STAR MAN – Harry Kane (10.2m)

The Englishman is in hot form and a home game against the Baggies will be one he will look forward to.

PREDICTION – Tottenham 3-0 West Brom
