Gameweek 38 Preview – Fantasy Premier League Tips

For one last time this season, we preview the upcoming set of fixtures as we enter the very last gameweek in one of the most unpredictable seasons we have ever come across. Looking for someone to bolster your rank at the very end? Here is how we see the games going and who will be the star players.

ARSAVL

Arsenal vs Aston Villa

After a well fought draw last time out at the Etihad, Arsenal are looking pretty much in top form as they play hosts to a relegated and low in confidence Villa side. On paper this seems to be a pretty one sided affair with the fire power the Gunners possess.

Star Man: Olivier Giroud (8.7m)

The Gunners frontman grabbed a goal and an assist last weekend and is recovering from a long barren spell. With Welback injured, he will be poised to get among the goals.

Prediction: Arsenal 3-0 Aston Villa

CHELEI

Chelsea vs Leicester

A game where the defending Champions play hosts to the newly crowned Champions of England. Chelsea are on the back of a disappointing defeat at the hands of Sunderland and a draw against Liverpool while the Foxes are high in confidence after thrashing Everton at the King Power. Both teams will look to end the season on a high with Chelsea surprisingly still battling for Europe while Leicester look to extend the gap an the top.

Star Man: Jamie Vardy (7.4m)

The Englishman is certainly fighting for the golden boot having scored 2 last weekend to go one behind Harry Kane.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-2 Leicester City

EVENOR

Everton vs Norwich

Both teams haven’t shown any sort of form coming into this game and are extremely low in confidence. Norwich, now having succumbed to relegation, will be looking to prepare for life in the Championship. Expect an open game with both teams having plenty of chances to grab the 3 points.

Star Man: Nathan Redmond (5.0m)

The winger’s creativity and speed is something that could trouble the Toffee’s defence.

Prediction: Everton 2-1 Norwich City

MUNBOU

Manchester United vs Bournemouth

Man Utd have the best home form in the last 6 games coming into this game and United need to win this game to have a chance of a top 4 finish. Bournemouth on the other hand have nothing to play for having confirmed their stay in the Premier League some time ago.

Star Man: Wayne Rooney (9.9m)

United’s captain is thriving in midfield after having returned from injury and might have something to say in the last game of the season.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Bournemouth

NEWTOT

Newcastle vs Tottenham

A game between 2 teams at opposite ends of the table. Newcastle are down after the Sunderland result against Everton while Spurs are playing to confirm a 2nd place finish after losing the fight for the title.

Star Man: Harry Kane (10.2m)

The Englishman blanked last week in an untimely defeat against the Saints and will look to fight Vardy for the golden boot.

Prediction: Newcastle United 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur

SOUCRY

Southampton vs Crystal Palace

Southampton are in a strong spot and will be looking to pile on some more misery on the Eagles who have had a poor 2016 in the Premier League. The Saints are two points behind West Ham for that final European spot and will give it their best to play in the Europa League next season. Crystal Palace are now safe and will be looking forward to the FA Cup final which is just over a week away.

Star Man: Dusan Tadic (6.6m)

The Serbian midfielder has been in top form and will be looking to add some more assists to his increasing tally.

Prediction: Southampton 3-1 Crystal Palace

STKWHU

Stoke vs West Ham

After the determination shown by the Hammers in their final home game they will be looking to take all three points from this encounter against a struggling Stoke team with nothing to play for but Stoke will be looking to see off the season with a win in front of their home fans.

Star Man: Marko Arnautovic (6.3m)

With a goal and an assist to show for his efforts in his last 2 games, he will be the man to watch out for this weekend.

Prediction: Stoke City 2-2 West Ham United

SWAMCI

Swansea vs Manchester City

The Swans are on a roll and have scored 7 goals in their last two games, whilst conceding just 2. City will have to be wary of the pace that the Swansea strikers possess and it will be tough for them to get a result against this free flowing Swansea side.

Star Man: Andre Ayew (6.6m)

Scoring three goals in his last two appearances and he is playing the striker role for the Swans. He carries a huge threat with his pace and heading ability which the City defence might not be able to cope up with.

Prediction: Swansea City 3-2 Manchester City

WATSUN

Watford vs Sunderland

Watford are off the pace and Sunderland have secured Premier League football for next season. Both sides have achieved their goal of staying in the Premier League so this could be a pretty poor final game at Vicarage Road.

Star Man: Odion Ighalo (5.6m)

Has been out of form in 2016 but showed a few glimpses of his talent in the last game versus Liverpool and scored against Norwich. He will be looking to end the season on a good note.

Prediction: Watford 2-1 Sunderland

WBALIV

West Brom vs Liverpool

With the Europa League final in mind, Klopp will again plan on rotating the team and you will see a glimpse of the Liverpool academy players again. The Baggies will be looking to take advantage of this and please their fans with a win on the final day.

Star Man: Salomon Rondon (5.9m)

He’s the highest scoring player for the Baggies this term and will look to add to his tally of 8 goals.

Prediction: West Bromwich Albion 2-1 Liverpool

Good luck for the final gameweek of the season and end on a high! Hope to see you all next season.
